Me as a skilled waiter, personaly i dont like that its a chef opening a wine bottle, yes they now a little about it but not as much as the waiters or someliers, who works with wine daily. So it should be a waiter or a somelier that shows the proper method. My way of opening a wine, start with the "foil knife" or "foil cutter" and cut the foil either above the curve as the chef did (my preference, looks better) or below the curve as the laidy at 2:30 then its less likely for the wine to contact the foil. When inserting the cork screwer into the cork put the pointy bit in the middle of the cork and screw it all the way down (without twisting the bottle as 3:00, the label should face the guest always), use the bottlecap opner part of the tool to jack it out of the bottle, the "leaver" some called it. Take the glass and pour a little to taste, then if its good pour the amount whanted in the glass. The amount in the glass depends if the wine needs air so it does not "attack" Your nose with flavour, then you pour less in the glass and give it a swirl. The rest of the wine can be decanted so the wine has time to Relax before the Next serving. If you order a expensive bottle of wine, just have a little wine in the glass so you can properly enjoy it, a cheeper wine can easier be drinked and poured in bigger amounts just to keep the glass full but not as much as 4:27 more like the chef. But its preference and if its on a restaurant they have a amount they have to pour to make the guest happy and earn money.

100% of the comments : "How can anyone not know how to open a wine bottle?" I say : "Why did you even spend your time watching this video in that case?I think it is okay to not know something. Till a year back I had no idea how to open a wine bottle because I never paid attention to it. Watching someone do it is different. I come from a place where the alcohol consumption is legally prohibited in all forms. Hence I never thought of consuming any form of alcohol. I know now how to do it, but a year back well I broke the cork in half for my first ever proper wine purchase.

To me it's an educational video since we drink wine rarely and we buy wine with cork even rarely,for common people like us(here the common people refer to people around our neighborhood) we rarely buy wines we just share wine made from our Home,true it not be tasty or alocoholic like those wine we can buy but it is good for me.If i was in there place i will most probably be in the dumb category of opening wines since I never opened it or used those tools .To me this video is educational because in future when there is a chance to open the wine i can open it using that tool in proper and easy way
