I'm 60 and still single. I now know that I suffered emotional and sexual abuse as a young boy, so it's why I have never been able to connect with a woman. I am now in therapy and counseling for the abuse and trauma I experienced way back then, but the requirements for this recovery are no dating and no physical intimacy! I am learning to accept that the Lord Jesus is able to bring healing and peace in my current situation.

Anthony THANK YOU for sharing something so personal! Trauma is a real thing and it's good that you're getting counseling to help bring closure and healing to those areas of hurt and trauma. I pray that God will complete the work that He started in you and that as you rub the Word of God in those areas, true & permanent healing will come.

Teresa there is absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying being unmarried. By the time my husband showed up, it was bittersweet! Enjoy the season you're in. I literally went to breakfast by myself this morning and my youngest daughter thought it was the strangest thing. She said..."Awww! That's so sad" (LOL)! By the time I embraced my season of being single, I did things like that all of the time and came to LOVE IT! When you're ready to turn the page, you will. 😘
