Just wanna say - if you find yourself stressing about getting a video out every week, just don't. I've seen a bunch of youtubers burn themselves out with commitments like that and I know how much work it is on top of what you're already doing. We can always wait a bit longer. If you keep on enjoying doing it your mental health not to mention the quality of your videos will be better for it, too!

When replacing rear main you can turn over the old one and use it to hit in the new seal. When I did the rear seal I placed sealant around and to the side to make sure any oil from the rear main only come out the side and rest comes from the side. It doesn’t hurt to have the oil level up a bit more if you are keen cut out near the seam at the end of the filter this will draw from the back of the pan and cover the top pick up use the high flow one it has a metal screen. Always have 2 rubber orings from case to pick up tube. If you feeling crazy get an old pan for the t400 and make wings with tubes for the pan bolts. You can upgrade a 8 speed zf with parts from a bt 50 Mazda 4x4 has better parts inside but you have to use most of the parts from the 4x4 to get the clearance inside correct. 6L80 would be over kill you will still need a adapter plate

Can you establish a constant level of clearance re the filter to the bottom of the transmission pan? i.e. stop the filter being able to tip in any way under slosh from the fluid and hard acceleration? Perhaps some form of "stand offs" so the filter is not depending on just the pick up pipe itself?

One thing to think about with the rear main leaking. I’m not saying it is for sure, but if the crankcase isn’t venting properly. From a clogged catch can line or something like that. The pressure will push past the rear main and cause it to leak. Especially under higher boost pressures and engine loads while drag racing.
