This helped me so much!! I’ve been doing mine without a lot of thought as to the opacities. I usually concentrate on what colors I want in my bloom, but I can see that is where I went wrong! I will be paying much more attention to this now. Thank you so much, Lisa!

Thanks so much for your video. I’m about to try my first bloom in a moment and if my excitement turns to euuuh then I’ll try again! You’re info on layering is, I think, invaluable and I’ve not heard it elsewhere. My UK products don’t match yours, but I’ve done some research and found your video on pillow paint mixing so helpful. Watched you and Kanella today also - so funny. Bloop, weigh, bloop, weigh, bloop, weigh, MESS!!! But so much fun and great results. Thanks again 😊

I’m so glad I found this video. I’m in the process of mixing up my recipe for the bloom technique and I wasn’t sure about what colors to use. Now I know it’s all about layering, and it’s safe to use opaque colors, not just in the CA. I was surprised that you could use semi opaque in the CA. VERY informative video, one of the few I’ve found in the fluid artist I subscribe to.

Which I liked the water color effect. Thanks for the lesson. I'm excited to play when they arrive. Would opaque as the first paint (not pigment) down hold the TLPs better? Since you said all TLP are transparent? Which was a great thing I learned from this also! So grateful this is your full time job because your a great artist and teacher.

I took the course last week, but have been experimenting for a couple months on my own. I am using the Aus floetrol in my CA. Im guessing the 3:1 (floe/Amsterdam) im using is still too thick. My CA doesn't completely sink like yours does. When dry, I have kind of thick cell "river" instead of delicate lines. Im thinking my colors may still be too thick also. Im getting good results just not like these.
