I just did the same test but with the different modes. I was even able to test unbridled extended :). this video should be out in a few weeks.

Nice real-world test run. It makes sense that you got these results. Of course, there are many variables that people can make a case of inaccurate results. The truth is that even under prefect conditions, the best real-world test standards are exactly what you did. I own a 2022 Mock-E GT Performance and absolutely agree with your results. When I slow down a bit and go with whisper mode while avoiding aggressive launches, then I can increase my range for long-distance traveling. While true that the three different driving modes don't technically save on battery range mechanically, I do believe whisper mode does encourage less aggressive behavior. That sudden bust of power comes from battery drain. When in unbridled mode you can feel the power rush instantly where whisper mode is less aggressive and thus has me inclined to be less aggressive on the pedal. Basically go easy go farther versus go aggressive go less distance. Laws of physics and mental behavior plays into it. I love my Mock-E.

you should see my new video where I test unbridal extended, unbridal, engage, and whisper. In the end I am just an amateur doing my own tests with basic resources lol. if ya really want good results ya need to watch stuff from the professionals :)

I have a Mach E GT Performance and I find that the differences occur due to acceleration where in Unbridled more power is used even for moderate acceleration versus Engaged and Whisper no matter the starting speed. First my conditions on all season performance tires (Goodyear): a 16 to 18 mile commute (3 alternate routes); 85% highway; limit of 55 but most do 70+; starting elevation of 119 feet; work elevation 365 feet; 2 400+ foot hills on the route but the return lowers the first hill to 300 feet due to the entrance being lower than the exit, one pedal on, Blue ruise on when the traffic is not too heavy. Going to work it is rare to get 3.0mi/kwh, only 3 times so far, doing 65-70 M.P.H. since I got the car in August, 2022, usually in Engage but not much better in Whisper; a comparison run showed no difference with both being between 2.6 and 2.8. Unbridled is usually as low as 2.4 due to needing the power to avoid "obstacles" (racers, tailgaters at 70, reckless drivers, etc.). Returning home, downhill (on average), can be as high as 3.7 now with the warmer weather (3.2 in the winter above 20F) and it is good even in Unbridled (3.4-3.5). I did get a 4.4 once but that was due to a traffic jam. A few things I did notice on a return trip from Maine when I did a burst to "XXX" in a "safe" area is that Blue Cruise shuts down above 80 and regen does not return until back down at 80. It then returned so much power back down to the limit that I might as well stayed at 65 the whole distance as overall trip efficiency was not affected.

nice good testing! ya in a more performance type of test there is definitely a big difference between each mode. I was trying to accelerate the same in each mode. What kinda makes the test null already, but I wanted to see if it affected normal cruise speed. now I know when going traveling long distance, if switching down to whisper will help me make the next charger or not lol, or if I can just slow down and avoid any heavy acceleration.

I was in Engage mode since my normal driving mode. This is a 2022 Mach E GT :)
