57mm S-60 Anti-Aircraft Cannon: When The Assassin Lowers His Barrel

The 57 mm S-60 anti-aircraft cannon was retired from the Soviet era, but during the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the "old man" S-60 re-appeared, but in the role of self-propelled artillery, on duty to support ground fire.
The 57mm cannon proved to be an effective weapon against all light armored fighting vehicles and some wooden fortifications. At the same time, the self-propelled chassis makes it possible to quickly leave the battlefield, to avoid counterattacks. After the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the "old man" S-60 continued to be trusted.
S-60 is an anti-aircraft artillery system, using AZP-57 automatic cannon firing 57 mm shells. Its mission is to fight air and ground targets at a range of up to 6 km and an altitude of 5 km, with different types of ammunition.

@@jamegumb7298 there is no such thing as a frontline anymore just areas of increased and decreased fighting!! you think you're in the rear and two hours later here comes an armored thrust from behind you because the enemy has pulled a flanking move! or you're sitting 50 miles behind what it said to be the frontline and all of a sudden boom a missile lands 200 yards away! the only way you're on the frontline anymore is if you're out of range of everything the enemy has!!

I agree. Ppl on both sides are sometimes very blind. But I must say Russians are even more blind claiming Ukrainian combat footage as there’s. Like Russians don’t use Humvees or M4s in large numbers. Also I haven’t seen a Russian using a Javelin 😂

I mean specifics, technical info it obviously has an integrated mechanism for locking, unlocking, extracting, feeding and ejecting and I want to know what principles it uses. @@andyboi8399 Bro...its an autocannon...much like the 40mm before it, it has all the same moving parts, just a larger shell size. The only additions to newer models is a linkless autoloader/ feeder
