I got my blue spring regulator kit at Ford, about $92 with tax, has everything you need including new faceplate, the torx screws are a little tight but worked. Your step by step Video was a perfect and my 6.0 is back on the road with 160k miles. Thanks again brother!

Great how-to video! I had watched Ron’s video (RIP, Ron) & know a lot from Ron’s simple how-to guides & his tips! Your video show close up view point. Which I needed, since I had never worked on a diesel before. Thank you!!!

Awesome, Thank you for making an in-depth video on the blue spring update, this was extremely helpful, watched your video and was able to do the blue spring update on my 04 6.0. No more leaks and higher fuel pressure to the injectors! 😀

perfect video. had my phone under my hood watching your video step by step to get it done. i did this specifically for increased fuel pressure and went from 53 to 67 at idle and 56 wot..couldnt be happier. and for everyone else, I bought the cheap blue spring kit for $20 on ebay not the expensive one from International (Ford)

Thanks brother -- great job. Taking the time to film in real time is very appreciated. It's worth every minute of anyone's viewing time. And it goes to what you were saying -- take your time! That should also include viewing this video before you start.

Good video! It was beneficial seeing some of the issues that arose while you were doing this. A turkey baster is a great way to remove the diesel inside the fuel filter housing

i would get rid of the k&n intake or atleast just the air filter ive seen a bunch of engines dusted because of those see through filters. another thing thats the wrong coolant for that truck i would recommend rotella elc coolant its a red coolant and only use distilled water for the mix. Nice informative video i watch some 6.0 videos sometimes so if i ever have to work on one of these i know somewhat how to do it.
@alexandersheets18 жыл бұрын
I don't know if your kit came with it, but there should have been a new o-ring that goes around the black plunger housing before you push it into place. (I'm sorry I am so bad with the vocabulary) I'm sure it's not a huge deal to replace it but I had to point it out

The cac tube doesn't have to be removed. Just loosen the top clamp and pull it off and aside. Remove the air box with maf and intake tube. Take a prybar wedge it under the fuel filter housing and tuck it by the battery to hold the radiator hose down and out of the way so you can get the bottom right bolt out with ease.
@RaunchBox10 жыл бұрын
nice video man well done.. do you recommend filling the fuel filter canister with fresh diesel before putting the cap back on?

Good Video, But, when you removed the old "o" ring from the fuel line at 26:15, did you reinstall a new "o" ring before putting lines together? The video does not show this. Thanks
@robertkimball95856 жыл бұрын
It looks like there was a brass piece that went in the groove vertically and the top end of it sat on top of the small plastic piece that broke. I didn't see you replace it before you put the plate on. Maybe you did it when I wasn't looking. Just wondering??

Its probably best to take your coolant cap off completely so you dont forget to tighten it. It happens.

Mines leaking now but yours is leaking a lot more than mine is at idle. I went to ford to ask how much they would charge to do the job and quoted me $225.93 plus tax. Safe to say I'm not taking it there for a short job like this

At the time of recording this video you mentioned that the new trucks are expensive. How about now in the year 2024, new trucks are damn near 100k
@juveniledelinquentwr9 жыл бұрын
Doing mine right now, Diesel Tech Ron shows an o ring going on the black plastic seat at the bottom before he puts it in. You do not. I cant get the piece in with an o ring on it so I'm doing it your way. But I'm slightly confused.
@juveniledelinquentwr9 жыл бұрын
mottrocks check that, found a flat hard O ring on the old seat, so I put one on the new one. It did not go in easy or straight, but I pulled it in with the bolts and it started right up. Thanks.

@abelg668 жыл бұрын
what would be the difference?
@JFrey267 жыл бұрын
Abel G ford 6.0 coolant would not be green. it's more golden yellow. big difference.
@abelg667 жыл бұрын
i used to have the green coolant first months owning the 6.0 but after gathering info on 6.0 groups i changed it to elc... radiator had a leak so might as well put the right coolant.
@JFrey267 жыл бұрын
Abel G ya I guess the traditional green universal coolant can cause gelling and what not. best to go with the oem stuff for sure
@cipherion5 жыл бұрын
That extremely high heat in the egr cooler will break down antifreeze. Motocraft Gold antifreeze handles the heat much better bust still breaks down over time. Additionally the Ford radiator caps wear out very quickly and can cause the boiling point of the antifreeze to be much lower. Upgrade this and keep more antifreeze in the truck.
