In Brazil, we have modern harvesters with 62-foot cutting platforms. This makes harvesting faster, since soybeans are harvested in December/January and then the 100-day corn crop is planted. In short, soybeans are harvested during the rainy season, which only ends a few days before the corn harvest. Machines with 2 soybean and corn platforms cost approximately $500,000, which can be financed over 10 years with a 1-year grace period and annual installments. Today, interest rates are 0.45% per month.
