Fun fact about the procedural generation in DRG that isn't explicitly told to you and can be difficult to notice organically: Another part other than the layout of the caves themselves that's variable from mission to mission and contributes to keeping things fresh is that there's a pool and priority system for determining what shows up during a mission and how often. Grunts (+elite variants), praetorians, and oppressors are always going to be on the table, but everything else is limited by either a limited number of slots in a pool, or a priority system that makes the director handling the enemy spawns much more likely to spend its credits on one enemy type than another. Like, you know how you'll go tens or twenties of missions without seeing a Bulk, and then in one mission you get two or even three? That's probably why; it wasn't in the pool in those other missions, but that one it *is*, it's on the table every time the director has credits to burn. Those missions where you feel like you can't take a second to breathe without getting mouthful of web from a web spitter? The ones where you look at the corner of the screen and it definitely isn't a Mactera plague but by god does it feel like it? The priority system. It's fucking brilliant. Ghost Ship are great.

you should totally talk about RAIN WORLD, it genuinely scared me at some points without necessarily being a horror game just because of the atmosphere and the fear of the unknown which is something you find at every screen, not to mention the gorgeous art style that i've never seen used and the impressive Artificial Inteligence of the enemies which makes them a real threat and i personally never found a way to "cheese" the AI if you play rain world you'll really feel like a spec of dust in a big world where nothing revolves around you besides wanting to reach your own personal goal, it's tough as nails and has no mercy for the player, no hand holding besides the first few screens that just show you the basic controls there's also some cool movement mechanics, interesting themes about life and cycles, adaptive music, hundreds of ways to die, a bit of rng sprinkled in the enemy spawn locations and their interactions, branching paths to get to one location, similar to outer wilds you can finish the game if you know where the goal is, and of course the most important part: slugcat :)

Citizen Sleeper is such a great game, even if i feel it gets a little too easy to maintain at the end. There are choices in the game that made me genuinely have to walk away and think for a moment. It's full of flawed but understandable characters, to the point that even the early villain ends up looking like he needs help somehow. The end of the game takes a lot of the focus off of your personal survival and makes you wonder where your path has brought you, including the people you influence throught the game. I loved it, i still think about it, and it's been months. Im waiting for the day when i forget most of it to go back and play it again

Oh yeah, btw DRG has the best monetization system ever. They have a battlepass...which is 100% free. cant pay for it if you wanted to. And also, if you want loot from a previous battlepass, you can just switch to that battlepass. It'll save all your progress on your currenty one, and you can just progress on the one you want and get the loot you want. And its all free. The only thing you can buy is the game itself, and sporadic (and quite affordable) cosmetic DLCs. I've bought every DLC the game has to offer, and probably still spent less than the average League player.

I think BRC needs a sequel that expoands on two aspects, tricks and combat, so why not tie both together make some kind of street fighter type special attacks that double as different tricks, the skates or bikes would be like classes and each character could have some unique super moves

Here's a fairly obscure indie game that might be worth checking out- Battle Brothers, it's a tactical turn-based RPG where you command a small band of mercenaries through a dark fantasy world (with a procedurally generated map), taking jobs to fight various monsters and human enemies as you build up wealth and notoriety. It's tough, enemies hit hard, and troops can be permanently disfigured or killed

Deep rock is great for people who like making fun unique builds too. At a glance, from someone who plays incredibly complex games like Path of Exile, it might not look that deep, each class has 3 primary weapons, 3 secondaries, and 4 grenades. But each weapon is very unique, it's not just assault rifle, shotgun, and grenade launcher. The driller has a flamethrower, a cryofreeze cannon, and a toxic sludge cannon as his primaries. And his secondaries are a simple pistol, a plasma ball launcher, and a gun that microwaves enemies at range. And just when you think you've got a hang of the guns, you start getting overclocks. Which completely change the game again. There are 3 tiers of overclocks that can give smaller stat boosts or completely change the way the gun is used. For example the engineer's grenade launcher can be changed into a small nuke but you lose a lot of ammo capacity.

pseudoregalia is one of those games that show potential of movement platformers. a platform game that its so satisfying to move around like finally nailing a combo you landed in a fighting game is a joy. Team reptile did a spiritual sucessor of jet set radio, and they did not disappoint. the base game is already great, but now imagine the modding community that was(and in some regard is )active for lethal league blaze, now they're in their way to mod the game, and the new wave of modders shows a bright future upon this game(hell, there is a multiplayer mod and plenty of model swap and voice mods already) upon recomendations. i would recommend the Ys series. technically is not indie. but what the hell the series is so good it needs to be talked more

an indie game that i think is SUPER underrated is Laika aged through blood. Its essentialy a game where your an immortal furry riding through an apocalyptic wasteland ON A MOTERCYCLE. The combat is amazing (i mean you reload by doing a backflip how is that not awesome) and the characters and writing are genuinely amazing. It depicts the struggles of war and the pain that it brings absolutely perfectly and honestly its an amazing game to play through.
