A lot of people seem to get this wrong regarding toe hang. A putter with a lot of toe hang does not encourage more arc in your stroke. It actually reduces rotation of the putter head to keep someone with a lot of arc in their stroke from over-rotating the club face. It is suited to a person with a lot of arc, but for the opposite reason. The weight in the toe resists rotation, it doesn't promote it.

Joe, you are such a great show host (?) and your knowledge and personality really comes through. I only hope you still can find the time to make videos with Dan and the others!

Really good video, I’ve been playing golf for 30 years, I didn’t know there was face balance of toe hang putter until 5 years ago 👍

I ended up with my osdessy df1 by picking up and swinging every style of putter I could. The df1 felt like it had the least resistance to my natural swing and felt pretty great off the shit old balls I tend to use as a high handicapper.

Just gone back to a 20 year old Rossa putter. Should really go and get custom fit , as it’s the club we use most 🤦♂️👍🏼

Wonder if the guys at Odyssey could advise on the following. Managed to lay my hands on a rare LH Odyssey PT82 Prototype but at 35" it's an inch too long! If I get it shortened to 34" would it significantly effect the swing weight and if so, what could be done to compensate for this?

Been using face balanced for years when I should have been using toe hang 😂 Dan Hendrickson made a comment that face balanced miss left for him, which is what I was experiencing. Got the ping app for my phone which showed I have an arc. The app is free and worth using. Alignment is easier for me with an Anser style putter. Good video Joe🎉

And you need the a phone holster on the club to be able to use that app right?

Interesting to see all of these different putters & their properties - alas I think I could still miss an 18inch putt with all of them 😂

Good luck considering a putter with correct lie angle (79 in my case) with these instructions.

Yes, I made one structural mistake for roughly 18 years, thinking that increasingly higher MOI putters would fix my issue squaring the face at impact. Finally, a lie angle balanced putter fixed that for me. If not for this episode's sponsor, you could have mentioned that it's not just the broomstick helping Will and Lucas :-)

According to Sam put lab I should be using face balanced putter but I putt well with and prefer a putter with extreme toe hang, I think it’s important to use what you’re comfortable with. I’m very skeptical about how much a few grams being moved by a grown man at slow speed can change the angle of the putter face
