I’ve been daily driving my grenadier for the last year (took delivery on 12/20/23), plus some weekend overlanding adventures. I couldn’t be happier with it. It now has almost 15k miles on the clock. Still has me smiling. Great videos - keep em coming!

Thanks for commenting. The smooth ride was one of the first things I noticed. I came from a sports suspension car and it "complained" about every bump in the road. The Grenadier pleasantly ignores them. Great to hear that your's is going strong after almost a year.

Good review. I had mine for a few months and sold it. There are things I loved about it and didn't love about it (ADAS, return to center, constant corrections when driving at speed, and a few others) but the main reason I solid it was access to a dealer. 4.5 hours was just too far for updates, service, etc.
@MyAutomobileObsession2 күн бұрын
I 100% agree that access to dealer is more important than some people realize, I hear from many who resist buying as they want more local support and to not drive 4 hours to go and collect a Grenadier and contemplate service needs. I have come to learn that all new cars have implemented ADAS that has become a mandated requirement and only fault INEOS in the implementation of some of these features. I now know that other new cars have similar annoyances and you can no longer buy a car that doesn't have these features in some shape or form. Thanks for commenting and sorry to hear that you sold your Grenadier, but certainly understand your reasoning.

Josh, Thanks for another great video. If you haven't swapped out your front steering stabilizer for the Fox, I would highly recommend it. I bought one when I ordered mine, but didn't put it on because after taking possession of my truck, I didn't have an issue with the steering. However, I went ahead and put it on because I had it. It made a big difference and I like the truck that much more now. Anyone that hasn't made that change, should try it! My dealer said they are swapping them on almost every vehicle now.

I bought two and have a Quartermaster on order. Steering, turn sooner and faster than normal to get around those u turns and into parking spots. Ineos suggest High tire, sorry tyre, pressures as the BFG’s are 10 ply and Bridgestones were specifically designed for the GVWR of the Grenadier. Of course you can run less and it is easy to reset the warning. Pounded mine off of the Rocks in the Owyhee’s and road tripped on the interstate to Seattle and am extremely happy with the performance, comfort and even fuel economy having come from a 200 series Land Cruiser. I’d own a Grenadier in every Color if I could. Awesome truck and excellent video. Thanks

Thanks for your comments. I'm looking into my tire pressure - which had just kicked off right before I began recording.
@SaltShackКүн бұрын
@You can find a pressure you prefer somewhere under that identified pressure, with in reason, to achieve even wear and ride comfort, on or off road, then reset your warning by going into vehicle settings find the menu, can’t remember what it’s called, select reset and the pressure your tires are at at reset will be the new baseline and you won’t receive any warning unless it’s over or below the new set pressure, whatever that is a couple of PSI over or under.

Interesting commentary. Most of what I have seen so far is about off roading and over landing so a commentary about the Grenadier as a daily drive gives a day to day impression of what the vehicle is like to live with. Think I could easily live with it, but then again I had and still have Land Rovers. I have had a short test drive of one.
@MyAutomobileObsession2 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comments. I have personally owned 6 Land Rovers (3 RR's, 2 RR Sports, 1 Discovery) and I loved them all to bits. I just began to feel that the brand I supported for all those years was leaving me in the dust in favor of the glitzy upmarket rather than the can-do-all rugged yet classy crowd. I won't ever fault you for owning a Land Rover, but I got off the bus when they became the soccer-mom and Kardashian vehicle of choice as it began to feel like a fashion accessory (at least where I live) and I don't buy cars to impress others - I buy them to impress me. The Grenadier has the credibility and offers what my very first Range Rover did back when people looked at it and couldn't understand why I would buy such a thing. You'll give up many creature comforts switching to a Grenadier that the Land Rovers now have and take for granted, but there's a certain feeling you get when driving the Grenadier that is unmatched by any current Land Rover product. Enjoy the process of researching and getting whatever you ultimately choose!
@potkas7Күн бұрын
I agree with pretty much everything you've said. The Grenadier was built for a particular purpose and those of us that are using it as a daily driver in an urban environment are not using it for that purpose, so you have to expect some "eccentricities" in the vehicle and adapt your driving style accordingly. Yesterday I had to drive down I-95 to the dealer in Fort Lauderdale to have them clear a time-based (not mileage-based) maintenance message on the center panel. Traffic was heavy, sometimes stop & go, sometimes 75 mph, as it was rush hour in Palm Beach and Lauderdale, but that BMW turbo-six and those big Bembo brakes handled everything perfectly. I am amazed at how quickly a heavy vehicle like this can accelerate up an onramp to merge with fast-moving traffic, or execute a passing maneuver on a two-lane road. My one recommendation is, however, at highway speeds and heavy traffic, keep both hands on the wheel. Oh, by the way, at the dealership, everyone loved the white Grenadier Bonnet Decals your suggested - I got the Stars & Stripes motif for the Lambda.

Thanks for your comments, and also about the Grenadier bonnet decal - I didn't know if anybody would find that interesting, so thanks for letting me know! Glad to hear you're enjoying your Grenadier - I know we put up with a few things but it's all worth it for the enjoyment we get.

Hello from Connecticut. I daily drive my Grenadier Fieldmaster and love it. I get stopped all the time and asked the same questions of it’s a Defender or Electric or in general - what is it. I added the Fox steering stabilizer, Eibach 2.5” lift and 34” wheels and its beast next to a Wrangler. Also added a ton of other upgrades I eventually want to make a shot video on but bottom line is it’s been great and very happy my decision. I came from a Cadillac Escalade which my wife drives and had zero issue with the transition. My boys also love it and think it’s cooler from any other thing else on the road.

Been very interested with the Grenadier and saw a couple on display. Really obsessed with the look. Really love it. Seen and read lots of reviews. I own a couple of Mercedes. But having seen your videos, I would think those "quirks" and bugs on the electronics and software would drive me bat-sht crazy. I live in the east coast and dealing with hot/cold temperature swings on its AC would make me drive it into a wall.
@MyAutomobileObsession14 минут бұрын
Thanks for posting a comment. My suggestion is that you get behind the wheel of a Grenadier and try it out for yourself on a long test drive (I took mine out for almost 2 hours) and be sure to experience the AC system to see if it behaves or mis-behaves, and decide if you still fancy the Grenadier at all if certain things were updated. My main point is that this is the first version and you can continue to enjoy your current vehicles and keep an eye on how things progress as I am sure that they will over time. It just may not be up to what you need just yet - but I think you'll be a happy bunny if you ever get the opportunity to own one.

10,000 miles and agree! Speaking to the audio, this is my first “truck” and a step away from German sport wagons with premium sound - Harmon Kardon, Burrmeister, Sennheiser - because I got tired of destroying rims on winter potholes (you’re right, it’s a thing) and I’m happy with the sound quality. I do miss the adaptive volume control you get with the German cars because the Grenadier with A/T tires and wind noise could benefit from that feature. I’d say the other daily driver drawback is typically a daily driver is a shared car and the lack of seat/mirror/steering column memory means I’m almost always getting into somebody else’s car. Granted, an IP68 driver seat would be an expensive option but I’d have sprung for it! Hopefully when they start offering V8 and portal axels an IP68 memory system won’t see such an expensive option.
@MyAutomobileObsession2 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comments. We certainly do make a few trade-offs when choosing a Grenadier, but like you, I'm enjoying mine and fortunate that I'm the only driver as I know that memory seats save loads of frustration when others drive. They actually launched the portal axel Grenadier at the LA Auto show, and it sounds like they will do small batch production, but better to get from the factory than in aftermarket. I've not heard anything about memory seats so far as they seem destined to keep the area to be something you can rinse out with a hose, which does not compute when we contemplate electric seat motors. Time will tell... Glad to hear that you're enjoying your Grenadier!

The Grenadier is the best car (and 4WD) I have ever owned. I love it as a daily driver. However, I now find myself looking for a little 4 pot Japanese city car. As I don’t want to burn the Grenadier out in 15 years. Off road, it is dependable, and will extract from those sticky solo situations. The more I experience it, the more I love it.

Another Great Video. On a few occasions, my Carplay doesn't connect. Usually when I connect to the "Fav" to shut off the tones. The "Carplay" tab disappears. There is steering stops on the front axle basically a nut and a bolt and I’ve heard and seen on a KZbin video while these guys were off roading they unscrew that bolt remove the nut and screw the bolt in all the way until it stops which apparently increases your turning radius a lot, it’s a simple thing to do, I am considering a Grenadier in the future and if I get one that would be one of the first things I do. At least it’s worth a try but apparently the guy said it helps a lot.

Great comment. Sometimes it's appropriate to compare and in this case I was laser focused on getting a Grenadier, so I drove nothing else. I have test driven the new LR Defender when it came out, no problems there - great road manners. But the Grenadier steering is not a bother to me except for the turning radius. The return to center "issue" is not really an issue after you spend 15 minutes with the Grenadier.

You ask a good question! The warning just came on before I started recording and I was a bit puzzled by it, but haven't looked into it yet. I do know that the standard tire pressure is on the high end for these tires, so that's not the surprising part. It's the fact that it's only one pound less than the other back tire.

For what it costs, shouldn't it offer, I dunno.. more? It seems like you could get a LOT of other cars for this amount of money, and I'm really curious what else you might have considered? Or if you were buying today, what else would you look at? I did test drive one of these, but I just couldn't get past the steering.
@MyAutomobileObsession2 күн бұрын
Yes, and yes. I think we all wanted more, but I chose the Grenadier from a list of one. I had test driven the LR Defender when it first came out during the pandemic, but my housewife sister bought one a year ago and that signaled something to me that JLR had jumped the shark and became less off-road rugged and more urban jungle rugged. I'm a little strange in that I decide what I want not 100% based on comparison shopping, but rather the excitement I feel when I see the vehicle and the anticipated fun I will have while owning it. So, when I first saw the Grenadier prototype in 2020, I was in. Steering (although odd) didn't matter. It was still an experience that I wanted to have. If I were shopping today, I'd still not be looking at anything electric (too impractical for me), but my next car is likely to be something sportier as I enjoy mixing things up. Thanks for your comments!
