Xtreme stress at 35, shingles at 37, stressful divorce at 40, Hashimotos hypothyroidism appeared at 42 and neglected by several endocrinologists since then...finally I have an answer! Been on Synthroid 100 since then. Thank you! You’re awesome. I wish I could reverse this condition.

Oh wow, we were on a similar trajectory at around the same age. Was always stressed/tired starting in high school but it got markedly worse around the time that I got shingles at age 31 or 32. Do you remember if it got worse for you before or after shingles? That is a herpes virus like EBV hmm 🤔

My dads doctor never spoke to him about any of the root causes for his thyroid disease. No testing was ever done for h pylori. He was given massive doses of antibiotics which did however lower his immune system . Nor did his doctor ever mention he should see a gastroenterologist. WHY don't doctors do any of this mentioned in this video ??? Poor medical practice he is receiving at our local V.A. for military veterans. I'm NOT happy about the care he has been receiving there.

SOMETIMES IT'S GENETIC. IT DOESN'T COME OUT ON REGULAR BLOOD. YOU HAVE TO GO TO A DIABETE SPECIALIST. NO GLUTEN AND DON'T COOK ANYTHING WITH GREASE OR OIL. BECAUSE THEN THE MEDS DON'T WORK OUT. I SPENT 27URS. BATTLING CANCER AND MORE THAN 27 YRS

I was tested positive for EBV antibodies. I'm sure stress was a factor in my hashi flare-ups as well. I had vitamin multiple deficiencies and my naturopath told me to go gluten-free. I've been on supplements (zinc, selenium, vit D, and a few others for about 3 years now and have felt more energy, as well as gluten-free and managing stress more effectively. It's a delicate balance for sure! (Also on NDT, progesterone, naltrexone) I like how you are talking about the root causes of Hashi's so we can get closer to healing our bodies. Thank you for doing what you do!!! 🤗

That is definitely one of the issues with EBV. Many people with and without Hashimoto's test positive for it so it doesn't necessarily mean that your disease was caused or triggered by it.

HIV continues to be a major global public health issue, having claimed almost 33 million lives so far. However, with increasing access to effective HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care, including for opportunistic infections, HIV infection has become a manageable chronic health condition, enabling people living with HIV to lead long and healthy lives. There were an estimated 38.0 million people living with HIV at the end of 2019. As a result of concerted international efforts to respond to HIV, coverage of services has been steadily increasing. In 2019, 68% of adults and 53% of children living with HIV globally were receiving lifelong antiretroviral therapy (ART). A great majority (85%) of pregnant and breastfeeding women living with HIV also received ART, which not only protects their health, but also ensures prevention of HIV transmission to their newborns. I had confirmed Ebv virus or mono my doctor called it when I was a teenager. Then went through some stress and started having symptoms of hypothyroidism shorty after but had no idea what was going on and lived like that until one day a nurse felt my thyroid and said it was very large. Got tested and sure enough my TSH was at 14. So I'm pretty sure the EBV started the downward trend to hypothyroidism. Things are pretty stable right now but I often worry the EBV will flaire up again. Thanks for the info

Also, I was wondering about age and how it relates to Hashi's? When I was 47 I had a lot of inflammation in my body, specifically my hips from sport related activities. I also was feeling incredibly exhausted and I hadn't been to the Dr in over a decade so I went and found out I had arthritis, bone spurs (bone on bone in my hips) Hashis and all of the deficiencies. I've had 2 hip replacements since and feel amazing. Now that I'm 50 it's about body maintenance and not trying to slay the day, lol!!!

Simply put, CD is the increase of Anti Gliadin IgG1 and IgG3 whereas NCGS is the increase of Anti Gliadin IgG2 and IgG4, both are B cell immune responses. Both CD and NCGS equally increase FABP2 which causes damage to intestinal epithelial cells.

What do you think about the correlation between titanium dental implants (allergy or metal toxicity) and thyroid disease start or aggravation (such as Hashimoto thyroiditis)? Are titanium alloy toxics closely associated with the neuroendocrine and lymphatic systems? Is an autoimmune/autoinflammatory response can be induced by metal adjuvants(such as titanium screws)? There are so many high-ranking academic articles on this topic.

@drChilds Thank you for a great eye opening I wish I knew this info 17 years ago when all symptoms started manifesting. For years I went from Dr. to dr. and not one tested me for thyroid issues, finally about 5 years later I found information related to all the symptoms and pain I was suffering and I have to ask my dr. to do the test and bingo my THS was elevated as well my antibodies and I was gluten intolerant. I stopped eating gluten and any processed /GMO foods and pain and other symptoms went away. Thinking I was cured last year I re-introduced gluten to my diet (organic wheat mostly) well unfortunately my THS went to >10 and my antibodies are 880, no pain or symptoms but I also developed a small thyroid nodule. A month ago I started the Hashimoto bundle and I expect to see my next blood tests w/lower results. No having traditionally associated symptoms or be pain free necessarily mean the disease is totally reversed, antibodies could still damage your thyroid. My MD doesn’t know how to explain all of these results because all my other Test are completely normal.

Hi Westin, do you know why endocrinologists gaslight patients? If patients mention symptoms because of the medicine - in my case euthyrox- they just say it is something else, even dough the symptoms are mentioned in the symptoms list of the medication. Why is communication so difficult with an endocrinologist? They don’t take me seriously and I feel gaslighted ... Thank you

Yeah my blood work comes back as ok levels, except my antibodies are 230+, but all my symptoms is not my thyroid, yeah most these doctors are totally useless, have zero clue on how to treat Hashimotos. I even told him just let me go back on Synthroid I felt good with it, nope, I just have to suffer until the next blood test in 3 months.

Hi!! Very interesting. Thank you. I was in a very bad traffic accident and got Hashimotos after that. I suppose it was because of the stress and trauma. My antibodies in my Thyroid were very high then, over 1200. I started a very strikt glutenfree diet and my antibodies in my Thyroid have been going down. My last test showed that they were now down to 165. I also wonder what the treatment is for SIBO/SIFO? Just a thought… What do you think about taking Diatomacious Earth.? Can that help against bacteria and fungus in the gut? I have heard people who take that for their gut, and are doing so much better. Also, if the gut has to much acid, what to take to make it less acidic? People say it’s good to have a little lemon juice or applecider vinegar in the water, but aren’t they acidic?

Doctor said the Herpes virus does not have medical cure because the virus is capable of hiding within the human cells, it remains protected from your immune system. Herpes isn't a special virus - your immune system has the tools to fight it back. But because it is able to lay dormant in protected cells, your immune system is unable to remove it from your body, But with strong reactive herbal medication is capable of getting rid of the virus gradually and totally from your body without damaging any of your cells , natural herbs kills the virus totally not just reducing the out break. I have been working on this. I have been off gluten for 6 weeks. I have added selenium and zinc. Through process of elimination I found that the selenium 200mcg a day started giving my stomach pain and diarrhea. Can I take a lessor amount? I also had a food sensitivity test which showed gluten was fine but dairy is not. Is it still worth keeping with a gluten free diet? I take 75 MCG Levothyroxine 6 days a week instead of 7 as blood tests showed 7 days was too much. I feel like I am making some progress!! Thank you!!

You need to remove gluten completely out of your diet, I did it and in 3 months symptoms started subsiding and few years later thinking that I was cured, I re-introduced gluten to my diet in minimum amounts, I was pain free but my THS and antibodies super elevated. So feeling well pain free is wonderful but it is possible that your Thyroid still been damaged by the antibodies. Presently I am treating my Hashimoto with Dr. Childs Hashimoto bundle, then I will do a new blood test and see if antibodies are done, hopefully reversed. Take care

Why can I find nothing on Hashimotos Toxicosis? This is so ignored because it is rare but real. When your TSH goes from 0.006 to 8.8 then 1.095 within 8 months and you go from taking Methimazole to nothing but have Hashimotos antibodies, confuse your endocrinologist, and can find nothing....yeah...great situation...

I have EBV so yes. But one of the causes you missed was bacteria in your mouth which mine hashimoto's is caused because of it. I take oral probiotics for my mouth and this has decreased my antibodies a lot. I have tried everything and nothing has worked until I started taking oral probiotics before I go to sleep.

I love your videos, great information. I already 3 endocrinologists and all they do is prescribe pills and check bloodwork. I asked Doc #2 to switch Levothyroxine to another pill bc of bad side effects. He told me it could not be the pill, I should ask my GP for a complete bloodwork or see the oncologist for a check up. I did both and all was good, so it was side effects from the pills. Doc #3 switched to Levoxyl. First 4 weeks was better but same problems again. Bone and joints hurt and are stiff. Sleeping problems, fatigue. It is very frustrating. I take only Anastrozole and the thyroid pill.

My doc says she is treating me and saying my last test for tsh was fine in her eyes. Last month she said I have menopause and giving me hrt. also says my breathlessness is because of copd so gave me meds for copd. I think I'm going To die soon. I got really ill again in May then July but as it was my anxiety feeling in my gut, I went to my mental health doc instead who prescribed me venlafaxine. I get really bad sort of acid feeling in my belly so much. I also smell something that's not there, it's happening for 6 years, it's like a chemical, or petrol or smoking smell is best way I can describe it along with daily headaches. Any advice please
