I remember once seeing the amusement park my friend created in Roller Coaster Tycoon. He basically trapped everyone in via removing the exit, had no bathrooms, made every ride a suicidal hellhole where the coaster went off rails, had a bunch of green goo-water everywhere, and had a special, isolated and inescapable "zombie island" where he collected "worthy" people who didn't die after a certain period of time. He then repeated the process with the next wave of victims. I was afraid to ask what the actual fuck was wrong with him.

TravellingStoryteller I've done both. Sure, they come across bad people like team rocket, or save and help villages and other people from their problems, but the real goal of the games and the show has always been to become the greatest animal capturer and fighter. I doubt most people would consider Michael Vick a great guy and accept his lifestyle if he occasionally between dog fights on his quest to be the greatest dog fighter and collector of all time used his dogs to solve someone's problems or to fight bad people's dogs.

idk, the only reason why pokemon would ever be in this category is because of the excessive ev/ivtraining nature hogging. (like abusing the system that needs to be reworked, I won't deny they prolly need to rework that whole thing) Aside from that though, everything else is pretty much pretty moral. Theres an in game mention of how theres a mutual understanding between the pokemon and humans (sinnoh myths/legends), they'd help each other out and support each other in battle. Heck, pokemon willing go with humans half the time because humans give them some of the best strength imaginable, smart move choices, TM's, vitamins, and in general they are treated better then they would ever be alone in the wild. Black and white states that if pokemon wanted to, they could just leave and never come back. The pokemon's hearts are never captured, and they can refuse the trainer if they feel like it.The real only exceptions to this are people that go farther then just "capturing" pokemon, aka the evil teams.

well, there are those kind that do attack you on sight without any warning like vampires. but most of the bandits, witches or mages warn you first. if you find yourself being attacked that is probably because you didn't notice them right next to you. so, as soon as you bypass the "limit" they will attack you of course. it's more like you startled them you know, so they are just defending their territory because they do not know who are you and what are your intentions. For them, you are probably some sneaky bandit that fail to approach, probably trying to steal them. bandits do steal from each other you know.
