Same. Im Lakota from South Dakota. Nice to meet you. My old Grandmother used to tell us stories of spooky things that happened. Stories that were handed down from generation to generation. She was born in 1899 & passed in 1985. But she never told stories about skinwalkers. The stories were always about shape shifters & spooky people.

@@butterfliesarefreetofly6964 It was the same thing with my great grandmother. She used to tell all kinds of stories, but she never told skinwalker stories. My mom is white though so she didn’t mind sharing the stories with me that she had heard. I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains also, so everyone around there has had at least one hair raising experience to share.

@@kodielong1447 We never heard of skinwalkers until the 1990s. I even asked my mother but she never heard any stories. Just like women wearing ribbon skirts. Women didn’t wear them until the 2000s. Now, everyone & their mothers who never wore them before, are wearing them lol. Ive never seen anyone wearing them in the 1980s. And I grew up on the Pine Ridge Reservation. If my old Grandmother knew stories of them, she would definitely tell us. Not saying there weren’t stories but it just seems like no one talked about them at all back in the 80s and back. Nice to meet other Indigenous people btw🌻

I had a experience with whistling. It was dark and I live out in the country surrounded by woods. I let my dog out and a few minutes later, I yelled "Lucious" & I whistled 3 times. A ways in the woods I heard the same 3 whistles. I live near the Application Mountains and was always told NEVER WHISTLE. I usually heed the warning but I was calling my dog. I rushed him in and went back on the deck. I wanted to know if it was just a coincidence so I purposely did it twice more. It did it just like me again. But CLOSER. The hair on the back of my neck stood up and I got my ass in the house!!!

In Native American folklore, whistling at night draws the skinwalkers to you. Also, saying their name at night, skinwalker, does the same thing. I also recently learned that according to South Korean folklore whistling at night draws evil spirits to you. Spooky sh/t. Stay safe and avoid whistling at night.

is this something that actually happened to you or is this some sort of creepypasta story because a lot of the time people on these channels are just repeating creepypasta stories but i do believe this stuff exists in real life im religious christian so of course so from my perspective i see it all as demons demons are very skilled at deceit and mimicry some demons just enjoy messing with people making us terrified and on other times they enjoy harming us physically better be careful and if you are ever in a situation where you feel youre in immediate danger start praying to Christ whether youre religious or not Jesus is so powerful and feared by demons that even for a non believer a mere crucifix will scare off demons

It’s a pretty general rule in Native American/Alaskans; never whistle after dark. Depending on who you ask, whistling can attract any number of evil or dangerous spirits and creatures. In some parts of Alaska, you don’t wanna whistle at night when the northern lights are out, because they’re spirits that’ll swoop down and snatch you up
@jyymorrison1445
@jyymorrison1445 6 ай бұрын
@@barneycalhoun4611if spirits were real than they would be conscious energy , why would the be malevolent or harmful? That sounds like an American idea. Africans used to use “spirits” for knowledge and healing with no bad side effects apparently. I don’t think you understand how the world works in terms of energy and the laws of nature/universe.

Honest question here, I rarely ever like horror content in general (movies, videos, books, games, etc...) But I wanted to give it a go and certainly it doesnt make my day better, it gives me the unpleasant feeling of fear/paranoia. What is it about these stories that compel you and make you feel better?

Story #2 has to be the best skin walker story I've heard. I say this because this was the first one I've heard where it actually chased them all the way back then tried to break in. This would be my fear if they truly exist, you try to run away, and you feel safe around others who are armed, and yet it still keeps coming.
