1. Smallest changes have biggest effects Do whatever you can to build your habit, it might just be enough to help you. Avoid whatever you can that would break your habit, it just might be enough to stop you 2. Habits are an automated response through experience Figure out why you follow your habit and what benefit it gives you 3. Make a plan, and give cues For example, if you want to lose weight, you need to plan on what you will eat and how often you will eat. If you've decided vegetables, keep them in a place where you will easily find them, an be reminded of your goal 4. Anticipate reward Inspire yourself to keep working, if you want to build a habit, that's because you see benefit from it. And if you don't want to build a habit, why are you here? 5. Make your habit easy to adopt Set up your environment to work with you in building your habit. Get help from others. Idk 6. Make your habit immediately satisfying Reward yourself for following your soon-to-be habit. Drive yourself further. For example, only allow yourself to listen to your favourite song at the gym, you'll end up going just to enjoy your music All examples and tips from video

If you are reading this, remember, that reading, listening, and learning without taking action are just another form of time-wasting. Forget about motivation and inspiration. Habits are more dependable. Habits will sustain you whether you’re motivated or not. Become fanatical about good habits and watch the world around you transform. All the best to you!

I really like this. I started forming more habits after reading atomic habits by James clear. I started programming, forex trading and creating KZbin videos. I’ve been at it for five months but it’s been hard especially with the quarantine and isolation. Things are getting better because I feel happier. The news habits kept me grounded and gave me an identity.

Im reading "Atomic Habits " by James Clear at the moments and I could truly say that it has been one of the best books that I've come across, adding the fact that it was presented to me when I needed it the most, I cant wait to finish it and it has, undoubtably, changed many of my visions and transformed my state of mind, extremely thankful , for all those out there that might be feeling similar, it will be okay

Every bad habit has a purpose and you need to understand why it is there so you can substitute it with a positive habit. If you e.g. smoke because you are stressed, it is not sustainable to just force yourself to stop. You need to build a habit to deal with stress.

The best part about this channel is that I can just listen to the speech without an epic action movie soundtrack in the background. I'm just trying to learn something new, gain some wisdom for the day. I'm not on my last time out, 4th quarter, 4th and goal, 8 seconds on the clock, Super Bowl on the line and the ball is about to be in my hands.

When I wake up tomorrow, I'm going to start building a good habit. Whether that is doing a 15 min workout in the mornings, reading 1 page of the Bible, or spending 5 minutes learning a new language. I am just beginning my first semester of college. At the rate I'm going right now, I will fail. I am undisciplined and turn 4 hours of homework into 7 hours of homework. I realize that that will be the death of me. Thank you for this video. I want to change, and now I have an idea as to how I'll begin that change.

Waking up early doesn’t mean you’re productive. It’s the things you done in your day indicated your productive. You can change your sleep cycle. Everyone is not early bird but if you have to , make sure to put away your phone bf bed for 1hr. Blue light keep you awake try to find another activity bf bed such as reading books , stretch , alpha wave.

I'm sick of being a failure but at the same time I can't get myself to work on it. I wake up every morning with an intention to work hard but then it goes away or procrastination wins and I keep on putting it off. I am aware of how negatively this will impact me. I watch videos like these, read quotes but it gives me a rush of motivation and then it's gone. I keep myself busy with other stuff and I go to bed every night with regret. Can someone help!

Building a new habit? Only allow yourself to consume caffeine right before you perform your habit, and consume a decent amount. If you don't already consume caffeine, the new buzz and flood of dopamine will connect the habit to an addiction. If you already consume caffeine, you'll be motivated to perform the habit so you can earn your fix.
