If a man leaves you for losing weight then that's a 100% sign they are only with you for your weight, gaining more weight and they aren't there to support you in in a weight loss journey, people like that are sickening & shouldn't be enabling people to gain weight or prevent the person who is overweight from trying to get to a healthy weight. It's horrible the lengths people will go just to fulfill a fetish of theirs in an unhealthy way. I suggest that if you are in a relationship like this is that you look for the warning signs and once those warning signs show up: Cut contact with the person, try and say no to them wanting you to eat more & stand your ground & don't make them happy if it's only going to make your life horrible emotionally and physically.

One of my exes hated it when I tried to make efforts to lose or maintain my weight. He once told me to get it in my thick head that I wasn't fat. Lovely, I wasn't overweight but wanted to maintain a consistent healthy weight and avoid gaining too much. And calling me thick was insulting too. But that's a story for another time. This is sadly common when women lose a lot of wgt esp after gastric surgery. While this dude split b4 the loss, it is common. I know people married 15yrs & after dropping 150 lbs & looking way good they break up & divorce. I'm in a gastric sleeve group & I was shocked to see this. Our group started 4 yrs ago & the divorced started like 18 mos - 2 yrs into the post op wgt loss. It's like the mans role was taking away & instead of finding a new identity in their relationship he splits. It's sad.

Sweetie it took me 3 years to lose all my weight and my husband stood by me all through it if a man really loves you he will stick by you because no matter what it's not what's in the outside inside okay so don't lose hope and keep doing what you want to do cuz that's what you want to do and he has to respect that trust me you'll feel much better about yourself it won't be easy but you will feel much better about yourself and God bless you and I hope you understand and you get back together
