The window 'problem' was a simple fix. They just needed resetting, by pushing the button all the way down, holding it for a few seconds, and then all the way up again!

Another great video Elton and Claire, well done. Jaguar XK8 is a lovely looking car. Anglesey looks idyllic, I can't remember if I've ever been there or not. Also your rear view mirror should tint at night when headlights come up behind you to stop dazzle. My Mondeo ST220 has a similar type mirror. That Capri 280 in the Anglesey classic car place has an aftermarket body kit on it I've never seen on a 280 before. I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming barn find video. As I've seen ACAs first video on that holygrail of barn finds. 👍

Elton, Hold the button on window in up position till it beeps or ticks and the window will reset to factory position.

Thank you. I did manage to sort this after I was back home, but that's what I had to do. If memory serves me right, it's "up until you hear a click, then down and the same". Claire and I drove this car down to Goodwood this year. It's such a nice thing to drive.

It's a car NOT a restaurant, food and drink should not be consumed in a car, DRIVE don't be messing around in the arm rest or you WILL have a accident. IF you press the 'S' that's sport mode it goes quicker. There is not a problem with the windows it is a problem with the person who doesn't know the car, you can give the XK8 a bad rap because you do not know how the vehicle works. We all know the noise in the car was you farting.

I bought the XK8 and drove 600-miles for that very purpose. It was actually one of the mechanics at Anglesey Classic Cars who suggested that it may be as simple as a reset. 8 minutes in and not one positive comment. What a strange review. You should learn a bit about how these cars work. The transmission for example is “intelligent” , learns how you drive and the gearbox responds depending how you use the accelerator. Perhaps the previous owner was very gentle, so the cars becomes quite passive. If you regularly punch the throttle it becomes quite different. Also try Sport mode, it holds the gears longer. Or you could learn to use the J gate and hold the gears as long as you want. These are fabulous, beautiful cars.

It’s not a review. As you’ll see, this is Part 2. The whole idea, as explained in Part 1, is that I bought a car I knew nothing about at an auction and drove straight to North Wales in it from Suffolk, getting to know it along the way (and back). Thanks for the additional info; we’ve had the car a few months now and love it. I even chose it to go to the Goodwood Revival recently 👍🏻
