Dan I had someone tell me recently that the reason the ice cream machines are always broken McDonald’s is that they as a franchisee have to use one specific company to make the repairs on the machines. And they charge what they want to. You can’t just call up any refrigeration company and say come fix this thing. Don’t know if it’s true but that’s what I heard kind of makes sense if you think about it.Happy birthday Bailey you guys be safe out there.

Hey Dan, I'm not sure why anyone would comment about whatever you want to talk about. Fuel costs are your stock in trade. I'm quite sure that depending on how high (or low) they are REALLY impacts your weekly/monthly/annual bottom line. Of course you're going to have that on your mind. Dan I love watching you. What I think (if I may be bold and talk about something I know nothing about which I would guess is most people) your a hard working American. You do what needs to be done. When you get screwed and it's plain to see, you roll with the punches and move on. Your ethical, moral, you have integrity. What more could anyone ask of anyone. So like me most of us love watching you because deep inside I think they know what you do is a sacrifice. I couldn't do what you do and remain ethical, moral, and keep my integrity. So Dan I would say don't pay attention to the comment mouths. They are giving an opinion about something they really have no idea what you do nor the sacrifice you make everyday so that people like me can sit with our families and remain snug as a bug in our homes while you travel back and forth in this country so we can be flush with everything that every trucker brings everyday. Dan if your daughters dryer is electric she needs to make sure she’s getting 240 V at the outlet. The motor around 110 vaults but it takes 240 to make the heating element work right. Just a thought

I agree with the conspiracy theory Dan. When you get tired of trucking you could be a hell of a teacher for flatbedders. I've always pulled reefers, but I am learning your side of it. Its a good watch while waiting and playing the grocery/produce thing About the dryer, sometimes breaker panels or fuse boxes have two breakers or 2 fuses for a dryer. One for the motor which is 110/120 volt, and one for the heating element. I've seen the where the heat side of it goes bad, dryer still runs but no heat. Good luck and thanks

The other issue with rates is they don't reflect the O/O's base costs. So what might be a good rate for one driver may be barely worth it to another. And since your costs are nobody's business, we can't make an apple to apples comparison. But we all can experience the pain of $4.00/gallon fuel!

I was taught driver does not secure load to trailer. Properly trailer is secured to load. Dan's pipe does not bent or flex but the trailer does. Hence, trailer is secured to load.
