I’m binge watching your videos! I hope you see this comment, even though the video is more than 2 years old. You and your wife are adorable. You’re just a big teddy bear and your wife is sweet and beautiful..your photography at the end of the videos are incredible and give me a warm feeling. I completely understand your being frustrated about being told, "You didn't put the wood back properly." Especially seeing the extensive disrepair the rest of that place was in. But it's your good name on the job. Hope your legs heal up quickly.
@628DirtRooster3 жыл бұрын
I think my frustration was more in the fact that she completely ignored that I had fallen through her deck and injured myself. In hindsight I should have filed a claim against her home owner's insurance. Almost three months later and I'm still dealing with pretty severe hip and knee pain. I definitely owed her a trip back to straighten out that board though. Gotta leave it right regardless how jacked up the rest of the house was.
@rontronnesjr3 жыл бұрын
@@628DirtRooster Yes, ignored the fact you were injured on her property - then knowing you should've filed a claim but didn't and now you're dealing with a lingering issue. I hope you're feeling better and like I said in my original post - It's your good name on the job, we all knew you'd make it right and do more than originally contracted to do. Oh I wasn't saying you'd do a half assed job because the rest of the place was in disrepair, just that she'd point out the board before you were finished with the job is what disgusted me.

Poor Randy this really sucks… this lady’s house insurance should cover your medical bills… you saying you have a disc hernia could possibly be causing some pressure on your sciatic nerve and causing all your pain,you should have a MRI to confirm that,I went through all this after falling down stairs years ago and frankly still have pain on and off from my sciatic nerve… get treatment before this becomes chronic…. I could feel your pain while you were quietly working while your buddies were chatting….best of luck to you Randy in your recovery…💕

I did a similar fall back two years ago. Whoever did the lawn on the side of the sidewalk had a wide enough mower that they went over a pretty significant dip in the ground and cut all the grass at the same height making the dip completely invisible. I was helping my brother-in-law move and went to go put something in the back of the car and bam down I went right onto my knee without being able to brace myself because I was carrying something heavy. Then had to continue to work since my brother-in-law had to be out within the next two days. My knees swelled up, and I could hear it creaking and occasionally grinding on each other. Finally convinced my parents to let me off and got some inflammatory drugs for it. Knee wasn't right for about three months after that but did eventually heal fully by staying off of it completely.
@628DirtRooster3 жыл бұрын
Crazy story for you... When I was a teenager I was riding my bike down a hill and into a field I wasn't familiar with on a road I wasn't supposed to be on. Someone had mowed the ditch level with the shoulder of the road and the field. I didn't see the ditch until it was too late and I was really moving too. I woke up in the hospital with a fractured cervical vertebra, among other injuries. I broke my neck again a year later. Thankfully the Lord was watching out for me and I didn't paralyze myself. I still have a little trouble from it all these years later but I played football into high school and got into boxing for ten years after that. I'd say it healed up pretty good. lol

Hi Mr Dirt Rooster or may I call you Randy? Sorry to hear you were hurt and for a big strong man like you admitting, however begrudgingly, to being in pain, you must be really hurting! I do understand pain and if I’ve learnt anything it’s that you should not hide it. In the long run it doesn’t do you any good and it doesn’t give those around you a true understanding of what you are going through. I know medical costs in the US are HUGE , we are so lucky down here in Australia with our health system, but get yourself seen to. You are too young and active to carry an injury that can have many long term effects physically and mentally. Look after yourself as you are too important to those around you to be suffering. So sorry if this sounds like a lecture but I am speaking from experience. Lecture over! Btw I love your channel, I have watched all of your videos, some more than once. I don’t grow bees I should and probably could but life does get in the way sometimes, I just enjoy the bees, love watching you chilling at work and maybe even most of all your beautiful photos and videos of your local beauty spots which you often end your videos with. Stunning vistas all of them! Recover well, stay healthy and safe in this crazy world. Hugs Deb

Ouch! Hope there are no lasting effects from the fall! I landed on a knee on concrete a couple years ago and while it didn't affect the knee itself other than a bruise that soon went away, it somehow damaged a nerve causing a half-dollar sized area about 3 inches below my knee on the outer side of the leg that took nearly a year before it could be touched without causing pain. It was really weird. Versus the homeowner griping about the uneven board, she should have been worried about getting her butt sued for negligence with you falling through the rotted deck flooring.
