Years ago (before Katrina) I used to deliver and pickup in the Biloxi Gulf Coast area with my 18 wheeler and just loved all the Antebellum homes that were lining the highway and the video shows them now all gone because of Katrina. Very, very sad it breaks my heart. It was a beautiful well kept historical area.

Awesome that you mentioned the paddlewheel boat “President “. My aunt and I rode on it on the Mississippi River in 1968. I was standing on the top deck and the Captain blew the whistle and I almost jumped over. Wasn’t expecting it. Lol. I was 13 at the time. Precious memories revisited. Thanks Randy.

When I grew up in Moss Point, Mississippi in the 70's & 80's the gulf coast was so beautiful and very busy with tourists and locals. After Katrina not so much... I flew down a year after to visit my parents and it was just depressing... every landmark I knew was all gone.... Pass Christian was wiped off the map. Biloxi and Gulfport turned into a mini vegas and ruined the economy. The lighthouse on 90 gone and it had survived hurricane Camille.

These aren't German house roaches. They're happier in a rotten log than in the house. I'm near Orlando. Two or three inchers aren't uncommon. The little ones we call "racers". You try to hit one, and it's ten feet away before your hand can drop 8 inches. They come out of boxes that have bees in them. You get used to them after awhile. The fire ants are the big thing down here. That, and the "Huntsman Spiders". I was cleaning out old boxes, and they hide under the handles. Saw two females and a male. I have Diatomaceous Earth that I hit them with. They scurry off, but they're doomed. Same with the roaches and ants.
@Doxymeister2 жыл бұрын
I did boot camp and my first AIT at Ft. Jackson, SC, and we had some kind of giant wild flying roaches that were the size of small birds, LOL. I remember getting up in the middle of the night to visit the latrine, and one of those "Rodan" sized monsters flew into my hair--was embarrassed to have done this wild dance, trying to bat that thing out of my hair. The QC was amused, but I wasn't. They were all in our barracks there.

Joe, I was that way until I started my business from home. Due to 3-4 deliveries a week I guess a roach or two piggy backed in a box. For the first and last time…I got roaches! I’ve had an exterminator come in and had the entire house and outside completely fumigated and have them come in every 6/8 weeks to do all the outside around the house! I hate bugs…even flies make me anxious…they’re maggots with wings!!!! 🤢

I wince for you with all the stings. Of course you do obviously know that the beekeeper gloves that cover the arms and wearing a veil would cut the number of stings considerably. I have seen you comment about swelling up with some stings. If you ever have a prolonged absence from regular stings I would be very cautious about the possibility of anaphlactic shock that could result once you start getting stung again. Be careful ....I appreciate your videos.
