@@Solidsteakx Arnold said people should learn to "Sleep Faster", and that he only sleeps six hours a day. Larry > Arnold One problem with using Arnold as the example is part of the reason sleep is so good for muscle growth is that your body releases growth hormones when you sleep, if Arnold had replacement steroids in his regular stack then maybe he didn't need 8+ hours of sleep. Of course I'm no expert so I can't say for sure if that's actually possible. Also, it's not like sleep deprivation prevents protein synthesis altogether, it just slows you down. Arnold probably just gave up around 10% of his potential if he only slept 6 hours a night through his career. Or maybe he was just telling people to sleep less because he was in a motivational video about getting more done with your life and not specifically talking to a bunch of weight lifters.
@KavanK15 жыл бұрын
Some people have a gene that let's them sleep 6 hours and feel fully rested, most people need 8, you can go online and read about it. Mark wahlburg gets up at 3am every morning, but he goes to sleep at 7, you need to get the hours in 💪🏼💪🏼

I pressed 895 last week for the first time, which for someone with injuries and mobility issues is a huge deal to me. Last workout, I hack squat just under 400. Both were PRs. I mention this because due to disabilities, I'm forced to take longer breaks in between training days. I lift only twice a week now, and notice because of the more rest in between, my strength has increased dramatically.

@American Patriot In one of the videos with Brian Shaw, Eddie stated his height is the optimum height for the mechanics of a human body performing a deadlift. Apparently, If you're short, you're fucked, and if you're really tall, you're kind of fucked. Eddie said right at his height is the Goldilocks zone. I wish I can remember the video but I think it's on Shaw's channel when they are doing their series of funny videos going around to gyms.
