Check out WILLOW here: willowsmith...
Willow Smith, the multi-talented American singer, songwriter, and actress, has carved a unique niche in the entertainment industry with her eclectic musical style and bold fashion choices. Born into the spotlight as the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow has transcended her family's fame to establish a distinct artistic identity. Her breakout single, "Whip My Hair," launched her into stardom at a young age, showcasing her dynamic vocal range and confidence. Over the years, Willow has evolved her sound to include elements of alternative, R&B, and neo-soul, demonstrating her versatility and depth as an artist. Beyond music, Willow's contributions to film and her co-hosting role on the talk show "Red Table Talk" highlight her multifaceted talents and her ability to engage with a wide range of topics with sensitivity and insight.
Willow Smith's latest musical endeavor, "Symptom of Life," showcases her continued evolution as a trailblazing artist in the music industry. It is borderline criminal that this video has so few views compared to Beth's other vids. This is an amazing song that deserves everyone's attention.

It's a gift for us tbh. The larger the audience, the worse the audience. The algorithm is pushing it now to us because we are similar in some way. That makes for a targeted in depth conversation to be had in the comments. Plucking the weeds to allow the flowers to grow. I've never even seen this beautiful woman before, but alas, our algorithm overlords blessings runneth over for once.

I love progressive pop. The mix of catchy songcraft with the more complex elements is just pure ear candy to me. I never would have expected it from one of Will Smith's kids, but I'm definitely going to have to check out the album when it drops next week.

I’d say Willow uses unusual time signatures and the syncopation in her vocal and music style at times can sound like a time signature change. I love the intro to this song and rhythm and vocal styles. Willow leveled up on this song for sure, it’s BRILLIANT!🎶💜🎶

Wouldn't be surprised if it actually is her who plays all the instruments in this... Recently saw a video of her on instagram, messing around in the studio, writing a song (not this one)... And she was playing everything, drums, bass, guitar & piano!

I think she plays all of them to create the song, then gets them recorded by professional players. So, she records the demo, but her playing's not featured on the final track. Since she's not usually credited in the band.

Willow's the most talented out of the lot of them, even more than her parents. It's a shame about all the noise and drama around them. It's kind of like she's obviously gotten her opportunity and platform being a nepo baby but unlike most nepos, she's only lasted and grown as an artist the longer she's been out there.

Sound not unfamiliar. I hear vibes of neo-soul/acid jazz like Amel Larrieux, Kam Franklin, Jill Scott and N'dea Davenport. After hearing this song I was curious to listen to the album which is newly released which features Jon Batiste. Promising talent indeed.

Yes, she is Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith's daughter. Never liked Jada and for what she did to Will Smith and he lost my respect with that slap a few years back, but you can't choose your parents. Love this song though.

It's not Willow on bass and drums. Apparently on some songs she and her collaborators started with the drum track, then added the bass and then added vocal and the rest including guitar she was reluctant to add. The Tiny Desk concert is: MUSICIANS Willow Smith: vocals Liso Lee: guitar, vocals Zach Tenorio: keys Mohini Dey: bass Taylor "The Pocket Queen" Gordon: drums Mohini Dey I know has already been getting a lot of attention her own for the Indian music influenced bass playing. Rick Beato just interviewed her. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep6mY4SHeriBbKc
