Great video. Some other points I try to do. 1 Explore the countryside and night sky. 2 turn the TV off. 3 Read at least 3 books a month. 4 Delete triggering social media. 5. Spend time, not money on family. Cheers Eddie 👌

Well said Eddie, good on you , Happiness comes from inside, not the material things. A friend of mine that was terminally ill had a sign in his kitchen and it said - why worry about it non of us get out of here alive! A great friend sadly missed but what an inspiration.. keep up the great work Eddie, the world would be a better place with more Eddies in it. ❤

Bang on the money with all of that, Eddy. I've thought more about number six in recent years, especially since I reached my sixties. But, I shrug it off because you have to...or you'll go nuts.

Cheers Ian. I think there’s a difference between accepting it, mentally preparing for it and getting down about it. I think it’s important to recognise the inevitability of it and lay it down as a marker. It should serve as a reminder and motivator 👍🏻

My dad said to me when I was younger “you can only get treated the way you let someone treat you” I carry this with me throughout my whole life! An other one is If you want to do something you’ll find a way, if not, you’ll find an excuse I find that so true 👍🏻

Outstanding advise and so much I can relate to, with the journey in the autistic life. Id add consistency and checking of the triggers that cause the issues you discuss, has to be done, no matter how boring or annoying, but will help you keep them in check. Coping skills take time to learn and everyone has a different way to cope but finding that coping skill is important to tame the inner autistic animal and allowing you to face each day and enjoy it. Thanks for these videos, Im working my way through them lol

Great work! I watched a video outlining why the past was better! The people in the comments section were hell bent on agreeing but none agreed on ‘when’ the past was better! I totally concur that our choices in the here and now are what makes life! This video has real wisdom and is really insightful. Like I say, great work

I’m not sure Christopher. The videos on this channel will be increasingly of a higher quality in terms of the subject matter and videography, whereas on TL there’s a fast moving hamster wheel of content. It also comes with a high degree of abuse. I’ll see how things go 👍🏻

Great advice mate. My best mate was recently diagnosed with autism at 53 same age as me. Obviously not going into detail but his wife who have been together for 30 odd years is really struggling she feels cheated that all the years they have suffered in their relationship with no diagnosis. He feels like the anger is aimed at him but shes probably just angry about the situation. Seems so many people are getting diagnosed in 50s.

Autism? Or stress reaction to a stressful job which puts the human mind in constant Fight or Flight… which makes it hard to “connect” with people
@Eddy-Hope6 ай бұрын
One is born with Autism mate. The common traits, of which there are many, have followed me throughout my life, including childhood. Consequently, I’ve been officially diagnosed as ASD. Don’t think I said I found it hard to ‘connect’ with people… You’re describing high stress symptoms. If you’d like to understand a little more about what ASD is, I’ve covered it a little more in my most recent video. 👍🏻

Eddy thanks for the video. Im ex military and suffered depression/PTSD on and off for 30 plus years. Im very interested in your autism diagnosis and how thats effects your life. I always think that ive got autism , not thats an excuse for poor decision. Keep making the videos. Thanks alot.
