Tis the season for lounging and staying warm! : ) Quick clarification that I realized when editing this video: McCall's 8351 offers a view without the stripe down the side but you may need to add an extra inch or two to it to achieve a baggier, looser fit! I overlooked that but wanted to share in case you want a looser fit. If you have worked with any of these, I'd love to hear your thoughts and if you have any other cute loungewear set patterns, please share! I'm always on the lookout for more. Hi Rachel! You've inspired me to make some loungewear! I especially loved the monogram that you added to the sweatshirt! We have a friend who does home clean outs. From time to time, he will find treasures that people are throwing away, and he gives them to me. Last month, he gifted me with 3 contractor bags FULL of gorgeous fabrics. So much fabric that I'll never be able to use it in my lifetime. A seamstresses dream! You are doing a great job!

Love wearing and sewing knits. I have many of the patterns you used. I like how you’re getting your money’s worth from each pattern - sewing multiple views. When I got back into sewing almost ten years ago, I was afraid of sewing knits. The problem was that’s pretty much all I like to wear! So, I dove in and found knits are not hard to sew at all. You made some really nice pieces and sets…. Inspiring 😊

Rachel Ann, I have just found you. I am just starting back into sewing after 35 years. I’ve been knitting and crocheting and I want to get back into sewing and I want to do garments now I’ve been a quilter I wanna do garments and I’d like to start with the loungewear and I’m gonna do the 8070 thank you for trying all the clothes on so I can actually see what they look like that really does make a difference and I thank you for that. Hi Rachel Ann! This was a great video! I helped my granddaughter make the first pattern you showed. She made the hoodie and personalized it with a Cricut design. What a great video video. Thank you for posting. I do have a question. I would love to get into sewing clothes right now. I’m a quilter. I don’t have a surgery or a cover stitch. Does that matter? Do you use either of those?

I’m so happy you enjoyed it! I do not have a serger and it has been absolutely fine without one. It’s definitely on my list to get at some point but for now, I either finish my seam edges with a zigzag stitch or I mostly do French seams. There are great tutorials out there on how to do a French seam! Happy sewing and enjoy it!😊🧵🪡

I’m amazed at how many projects you complete. I just bought mccalls 8070 this past week and am making the hooded one for a friend. Does it run large? I’m using fleece to make it and it doesn’t have much stretch. I love that pj set in white and green you made. M8392 robe on the pkg looks like it was made with a curtain so I passed on buying the pattern. Now after seeing your make, I wish I had purchased it

Thank you! I tend to get into sewing flurries where I crank out pieces and then have to take a break! : ) I sewed up the size small for McCall's 8070 and in my opinion, it's true to size. I'm on the shorter side and if I sew it again, may take some length off of it...Because there is some excess fabric at the bottom. I hear ya on 8392--the fringe was a deterrent for me but I do think it would be super cute without! Happy sewing!

I made Mccalls 8070 last week and absolutely love it! IMO, it does run large on me so I had to do some adjustments but definitely want to make another one soon.
