I made a label in googke contacts it has 631 email addresses under it. But when I sent an email to that label it says it cannot be sent because it's too many at one time. How many can be sent at a time under on label?

Gmail has a limit of 500 recipients per email for personal accounts. Since your label contains 631 addresses, you'll need to split your email into two separate messages to stay within this limit. For future large mailings, consider using Google Groups, which allows for more efficient group emailing.

I have been working on this also, particularly for a organization. Sharing an exported CSV (I prefer the Outlook CSV format), which can directly go in Sheet or Excel, might be the easiest but requires users to explicitly import -- there is no automatic ability in Google. Alternatively I have been approaching it with a combination of a macro, custom menu and CSS and JavaScript for a dialog design, one for adding/deleting or editing, possibly one for all three -- and tied to a Google Sheet that organizes the contacts. The Google Apps Script (Extensions menu) conveniently makes this easy. I will be happy to collaborate.

I created a label in google contacts, division 1 basketball coaches. I have 300 coaches contacts names saved and under each of those coaches contacts I have three assistant coaches names and emails but when I sent out an email to that label only the head coach receives the email and not their assistant coaches. so how can I make sure that everyone under that one contact name will receive the email.

In Google Contacts, when you assign multiple email addresses to a single contact, only the primary email address is used when sending group emails. This is why only the head coaches are receiving your emails, while their assistants are not.

*_Most of my contacts are years old and new entries are most likely added from my Android phone (always set to save to Google Contacts). I want to start from scratch and use Excel (NOT Google Sheets) as my drawing board where I can organize everything. So how do I go about it? TIA._*

If you export your current list from Google Contacts into a CSV, you can clean it up in Excel easily, delete any of the contacts in Google Contacts so it's a fresh start, but be sure to maintain the headers in the CSV as they started. That way when you go to import it back into Google Contacts nice and clean, everything will end up in the right place. Just be aware of any other phone/account sync functions enabled that may change the information.

See if it's not the following: navigate to contacts, frequently contacted (top left). These aren't necessarily people who are contacts yet.

@@ScrappyHQ Hello, tHanks for the tip. I went to Other Contacts and found some emails that Gmail was saving. This helped, but the puzzle still remains. I'm not sure whether I need to go through the history of every email that has ever been received and manually remove those addresses. On a side note. When phones or apps try to think for me, they tend to really be off the mark the majority of the time. tHanks for the help, very appreciated!
