I would love to see a "7 tips to be more happy" video. Love your vids😍
@SaraMakesArt6 жыл бұрын
I have a problem with really listening to what people are saying, too. My mind tends to wander and when I watch youtube videos, I often find myself thinking about what comment I'm going to leave, instead of what the person in the video is saying. On the topic of being in the moment, I've found that doing artwork and just focusing on what I'm painting or drawing, not looking at my phone, sometimes not even listening to music, so my mind is only on what I'm creating, can be a real pleasure. I don't meditate in the traditional sense, but sometimes I'll sit and draw my own hand, and thinking about how my fingers lie and all the lines on my knuckles, etc, is meditative for me.

I’ve been practising meditation this summer, and it’s honestly game changing! I’m sleeping better, more patient with my daughter, have more clarity mentally. I would totally recommend anyone try it. I’m using the Calm app. I love all your tips Carrie...so thought provoking xx

Carrie, I found your account a while ago and it has honestly changed my life. In a time with little to no motivation you inspired me to go back to a healthy lifestyle. I have started bullet journaling again, I exercise before school, and do yoga and meditate before bed. I didn’t think I could get back on track, but you got me to do just that. I wanted to thank you, but also to let you know that your content is amazing. Keep up the amazing work! - A high schooler who’s loving life again

I can relate so so so much to what you were saying for tip #7. Actually just within the last couple days its been on my mind a lot. Looking back 5 /6 years i seemed to be so much happier and free spirited but most of the time it was an act to cover up how i was really feeling. I came from a family who doesn't talk about their problems, ever. Very passive aggressive people. Not to mention, i was ridiculously sheltered, so living in my own blissful world was all i knew and it was the best. Skip to the present day and i've become much more aware of myself and whats happening around me. However, i feel even more unauthentic now then i did when i was literally lying to myself and everyone around everyday for years. THanks so much for sharing!

Thank you for this video! I just wrote all these tips in my journal to look back on and remind myself to implement. So many articles & videos have tips for mindfulness that are so unrealistic and unhelpful, but these were so great! xo

Slowing down is something that I try to do a lot, I always have a million projects happening at once but I know that if I just let it take over, the week will be over and I'll barely remember what happened! I have found that if I let my phone die or just put it in another room for at least a couple of hours a day, it helps a lot :)

Sounds so much like me! I try to get better at listening and your advice were great!💚 I have trouble understanding others emotions/feelings/meanings, maybe you could do a video about that and if you know any ways how to get better in it. 😊 (I have the opposite problem that you have as an empath, crowds make me uneasy because I cant read people..)

I agree that those little sparks of happiness are so great, and I am especially grateful that I have always done this my entire life even before it became the thing to do. I think having grown up in a very very disfunctional family, and having several major tragedies in my life, when things are going well I can't help but be super thankful and notice all the small great beauty in this world. Love you channel. 🌼

Surroundings can throw me off sometimes and make me really anxious, especially if there’s a lot of people and noisy children and this worries me for travel ! But I thought a good idea was to wear headphones/ noise cancelling headphones to block that out so avoid getting anxiety. Any other tips you have?? :) love your videos! Very enjoyable

Really loved this, Carrie!❤️ I’ll definitely be implementing these tips into my day-to-day life! I love this series. I need to be a little more mindful and learn to live in the moment. I worry about little things and can really overthink things because I always feel like I have to be ’perfect’ (which I know isn’t something anyone can achieve) and I have been really worrying about my future (what career I’ll have in the future etc), but I’m slowly learning to be in the moment and go with the flow a bit more! also, learning to be kinder to myself and give myself a break! 😊 Love your videos, they are so relaxing to watch.💖 Thanks so much!

Loved this video, Carrie. Thank you! I haven't tried meditation yet but I was doing yoga before the summer and really want to take it back up again because it really did help so much. I loved going to my class on a Saturday morning and the meditation at the end was one of my favourite parts. I have a toddler so those little moments of zen are complete bliss and have been really important for me to re-charge and move forward to be the best Mum and best partner and just be the best for myself actually. It's a long process but it feels really good to be more mindful and find new ways to enjoy life now. Omg sorry this comment is so long BUT one last thing! Your point about paying attention to your emotions really hit home. I used to hide from my emotions a lot because I was afraid of how they would affect other people but I'm learning to not do that any more. Really allowing yourself to feel what you're feeling has been incredibly enlightening. Is that something that just happens to you in your late 20s? I wish I had learned it sooner! :)

I have no patience for yoga. The lingo, especially. 🤢🙄 On another note, mindfulness can also be enhanced by watching a recording of yourself do a summary debriefing of the day. May sound odd, but a therapist advised this and it has helped me become more present more often. Xo
