I am such an empath and I've always loved watching your videos because it doesn't exhaust me like a lot of other youtubers, it just makes me feel like I'm not the only one. Thank you for opening up about this :)

I've recently moved from living with my parents to living with my boyfriend in a fixer upper house. We're doing all of our own construction and it has been stressful. I've settled into things here and I'm trying to get my morning routine down. Every morning I'll stretch then go into the kitchen and make oatmeal while I listen to one of your videos, and they always give my days a great start. I feel happier and more motivated after hearing your videos. I used to think something was wrong with me because I said yes to everyone of your questions in this video. Only in the past few years have I become accepting of being the person who doesn't like to be in crowd or around draining people. I never new there was a word for these kinds of people, so thank you so much. If you ever started a podcast I would support it! Much love! You make my mornings a hell lot better, never stop creating beautiful content 😊💕🤟

So happy to watch this! I have been highly empathetic for a long time and it took me until my late 20s to understand how to use it to navigate my life positively instead of seeing it as a negative quality, because it can be sooooo draining to deal with if you don't know how to take time for self care and when to stop being "the helper" and help yourself. I found my new career in mental health, and while being an empath while counseling others who are dealing with loss, addiction, and mental illness can be difficult, if you can learn separation, it helps you see the perspective of others and give truly honest and thoughtful counseling. I now can see my empathy as a gift to help others instead of a burden. When I was younger it was so hard to feel so much, but it gets better as you grow and learn :) Thanks for sharing this Carrie! I love your self help series, and I hope I get to meet you one day if you're ever on the east coast!

That’s something I really need to learn is separation from the energies I feel with other because I end up soaking it in. How did you learn to Separate your self?
@calielizabeth47146 жыл бұрын
This is a.hard question to answer because it truly is different for anyone but top 3 things i would say are 1. Have confidence that going through experiences and feeling the way you do will make you stronger, because in the end it does- you just need to develop that inner voice and listen to it- the one that tells you when to take a step back, or to care for yourself, and give yourself permission to know its okay to step back. 2. For many sensitive people, going to speak with a therapist 2-4 times a month can help to let out all the emotions and energy building up. Speaking to a therapist has a big stigma in the US, but it can truly benefit anyone if you find the right fit. 3. This is the hardest one, but i think its the most relevant, it just takes time...getting to know yourself well enough to know when you're soaking up others' emotions, versus when you are truly feeling something for yourself, and releasing the extra weight from others through an activity that works for you (running, yoga, self-care routines, meditation, etc.) hope this helps!
@biancamay306 жыл бұрын
Well then I guess I’m doing all of those! But Iv just started these past two months. I started seeing a therapist and it’s helped ALOT with releasing a lot of emotions build up and I feel lighter, maybe that’s why a lot has been coming now. And I feel a release when I do yoga with energies and recharging my body!! I guess right now is knowing when to step back and truest figuring my self out! I’m in my mid 20s and I’m just finding my true self with all these emotions/ energy’s! Thanks for your advice!! At least I know I’m going through the right path
@calielizabeth47146 жыл бұрын

I love that you made this video! I feel as though a lot of people associate weakness with people who feel so deeply, but now that I am who I am, I really don't think it's a bad thing. One of my good friends (we are both empaths) pointed out that we should not be ashamed of being empaths because how great is it that we are one of those rare people who feel so much when some people don't at all? I've really learned to embrace my empath traits over the years and am still learning how to completely love them so this video has really helped me feel as though it's that much more amazing to be one. Thank you :)

Hi Carrie! Love it that youre doing a video about HSP! Im turning 23 and Ive known being HSP since I was 16.. I even gave workshops at college about HSP :) Its a gift to feel so intensely within happy moments, like I can enjoy the little things in life so much. But like you said, crowds, other peoples energies etc can be hard to deal with.. Ive learnt to see my sensitivity as a beautiful strength instead of a weakness :) You inspire me that I could use my HSP within a job just like you do with your creative and caring videos! lots of love from Holland!

So happy to watch this and this topic coming to light. I am an empath and it does drain me. Often I find myself taking other physical pain as well. It's a very complicated thing to feel. Figuring out the "vampires" in your life and emotional boundaries really helps but sometimes I can touch someone and feel pain. Recharging in solitude is very real and often why I travel when I do.

Ever since i was a little girl, my mom used to tell me that i was 'an indogo' which basically means you have a soul that is older than you, that your soul used to belong to sombody other than you. It is such a fasinating topic and it really is eye opening, especially becuse i have lived my whole life searching what it acually means. I was really suprised when i saw your video becuse it acually is the first time that i have seen sombody that has knowlage about the whole Indigo and empath thing. P.s. My mom has learned that i was an Indigo by a fortuneteller in Turkey, we were living there at the time.

I can relate. I am an empath. Most people don’t understand me. It’s exhausting. Before someone even speak, I already know their intentions but no one understands that and how the heck i know what they think, feel and especially their intentions. I feel everyones emotions around me that’s why from time to time i need to be alone to recharge. There are times i drive around and i already feel the vibe. When i enter a room, office, attending parties, i already sense the feeling. I have limited energy because of all these emotions around me. It is bizarre for other people that’s why i dont really open up about being an empath. I know when someone is lying, when someone is playing mind games and pretend to be nice. I also dont like small talks because its a waste of time. In the restroom at work, i wait until everyone leaves the room. I hate small talks. At work, i eat alone because that’s my time for myself to recharge. Only empaths will understand the details of all these emotions.
