4 banger turbo, no good. Will never last as long as a naturally aspirated engine. Moved US based jobs to Mexico. Mexico quality is horrendous. price is 15K too high. I'll be buying a Frontier.

If there were engine issues, we would all know about it. But the Nissan's are pretty bomb proof too. Not quite the caliber of Toyota and Honda, but they are up their.

2018 sr5 msrp in the northeast was 35k, now thats 45k. trd was 45k now 55k minimum. plus you are getting a turbo 4. ill take a 2 door as long as it has 4wd but that model is 2wd only. if i wanted 4 doors i would buy an suv.

Definitely expensive but what isn’t in 2024. I remember how when the 3rd gen came out how all the haters were bashing it. Well fast forward to now. Get used to it. Once they get the quirks ironed out (btw ALL manufacturers are going through this phase now) then it will be fine. Toyota will always hold their values. That’s just facts.

Many buyers want to avoid buying the first year production of a complete redesigned model, especially when there's a new power train without much reliability history. Toyota is moving to Turbo engine too fast. Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, Highlander and Grand Highlander gas models and the new Land Cruiser and 4Runner are all Turbo now.

I have 3 Tacomas 2nd 3rd and 4th. The 4th Tacoma feels great to me. Wether it'll be reliable? We will see. But it drives great and it's fun to drive. Most of the people that downplay it don't own one. If you don't like the price. Don't buy one.
