Win 11 may be newer but doesnt offer anything that Win 10 cannot do and is usefull for most users. If you think about it after all these years they still werent able to put all the settings into one place. You still have to scout through several places to find what you're looking for.

Yesterday, I was trying to move files from one folder into one of its sub-folders; and I started getting a warning that those files might harm my computer. One of the files was a Word document I had just created. The suggested solution was upgrading to Windows 11. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That's why I'm here.

Microsoft did say windows 10 was going to be the last version (they tell lies). Windows 10 works ok. Windows 11, most people would not even notice the difference (apart from having a lighter bank balance). The old hardware what a waste of time, effort of world resources, just to scrap it? Cannot see the point in having Windows 11. I am sticking with Windows 10, Until I find an alternative. Windows 11 doesn't currently meet the minimum system requirements to run on my PC.

The secure boot requirement was basically immediately walked back on. Also windows 11 S mode is designed to run on weaker hardware, think of it as a lightweight locked down version of the OS. Another point you made that was untrue was that you can't escape ads in Windows 11 when you can simply remove all of them fairly easily through the customization settings, for instance you can remove displaying of the search bar in the mode that shows ads and do the same thing on the start menu as well. You can easily turn off widgets and change what your lock screen displays, it takes like 30 seconds to make windows 11 ad free and while I still believe it should not be in the OS in the first place it is at least very easy to avoid. What Microsoft needs to do is release a paid version of the OS that supports no Telemetry or any of the other features people do not like. I am sure myself and many others would pay to have the most compatible OS without the bad stuff but for now at least all you have to do is tick a few boxes and even disabling a lot of the telemetry is fairy easy to do with a video guise and first time setup.

I'm still Win10 b/c I'm still on a great laptop with a 7th gen Intel i7. Also gorgeous 1080p touchscreen on this laptop, I am in no rush to junk this excellent hardware.

Just got a laptop and turning back to windows 10…. The one thing is the god damn bar…. I cant expand it, and i loved the quick launch bar from windows 7 ( there is a work arround to using it on windows 10). Maybe in a couple of years when they make it better.

There was a chance long time ago where i would have upgraded instantly to Win 11 if only they didnt go the way of Mac and mobile phones with interface. Make windows simple again, merge all settings into one place and reduce bloatware (prefferably remove) and people might like windows again. You know Windows X Lite Optimum on fresh install has under 1/3 of Microsoft's version of windows. Its fresh install is just 4Gb and it works much better on older hardware althought its just in english and language packs do not work properly. About half of it gets translated and other half stays in english but i can work with that. No bloatware and most of resources are actually aviable rather than being used for bloatware.

A lot of people are making the switch to Linux because Valve has been more open to Linux due to LTS compared to a mediocre End of Life policy which kills Windows a lot faster than it needs to be Microsoft should release LTS versions of their Operating Systems including remake the older systems if they hope to thrive until then I'm not coming back until Windows goes full LTS.

I have been a windows 10 & 11 user for a long time but I don't think I will be in near future. Windows cons: 1. Driver issue (Windows UPDATE download's driver from I don't know where) 2. A software named rekordbox dj is always glitchy maybe it's manufacture's fault I don't know. 3. Windows laptop are of very poor quality Mac pros: 1. Better quality hardware & software (everything works instantly) 2. Longer battery life which in turn saves electricity usage 3. Smoothness 4. Secure 5. No update related problems they're just better at releasing updates 6. ecosystem like Airdrop, Notes etc. are synced. I can even go more here. Cron: 1. It's difficult to get cracked software unlike windows

I use w11 in my daily computer. No problems whatsoever. Gaming is perfect, the OS feels good to use, i also use ableton for making music and no problems ever. All the bad things like the context menu or "ads" can be changed easily. I have also a w10 computer. Its the same. Every new windows version happens the same, people are like "do not update!!", and i update to see it for myself and everything runs perfect. I might add that my main computer is 10 years old, with a 4th gen intel cpu. But even without been "compatible" it runs perfect. With time, everyone that hates on w11 will be using w11, the same happened with 10, with vista, with xp, with 98.... Im sure there are people using w95 right now. Also, about the ads.... I have yet to see one, i dont even know where these "ads" are supposed to be 😂

Windows 11 has many unwanted and it does unwanted for gaming. For example Core parking, control flow guard this one limits dx12 performance dramatically and built in power saving features. People always only look at average fps which is not the best way measure smooth gaming experience because 1% low fps and 0.1% low fps must be always closer to average fps .

Im not a techy guy and not a gamer. I have Lenovo s130 with Intel N4000 cpu. Originally, it has Windows 10. Windows 10 is working fine. But out of curiosity, I updated to Windows 11. So far, W11 is working fine just like W10. I mainly use it for youtube, file transfer from dslr, etc. All basic tasks. I also have Thinkpad t520i with Intel Core i3-2310m. I installed W11 just recently, and so far Im happy with it. Fast, responsive, no lag whatsoever. Mainly used for basic tasks. I can"t understand why so many people hate Windows 11. Im a basic user, perhaps the reason why I have nothing bad to say with W11? For me, as a basic user, W11 is fast, reponsive and serve its purpose. Also just recently, i tried Windows 8.1 Pro (unactivated, can"t buy prodect key due to financial issue) on Thinkpad T520i, so far Im happy with this OS. Fast and respinsive. No problems encountered so far. All device drivers are working fine. ❤

My computer supported everything, Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, Intel i5 10th Gen whatever. But recently my PC broke and I had to use Windows 10 because when I went to repair it. There isnt any Windows 10! My uncle suggested you don't use Windows 11,I was devastated. Just reseted my PC yesterday afternoon yk. Windows 11's updates are garbage. The the latest update eats up too much resources for no apparent reason, has more bloatware than an Android phone and constantly micro-stutters on the SIMPLEST of tasks on HIGH END PC's. Microsoft LOVES fixing things that aren't broken and making broken things even worse. This is why I run Microsoft's latest crap in a virtual box and why Windows 11 will never be my main OS. I'll run Windows 10 until I die. I don't need their security and stupid A.I. features. I can protect my computer on my own just fine.

Honestly, Windows 11 is the worse version of Windows 10. My Windows 10 runs exceptionally well, even on my old hardware. Many people can't afford to buy a new machine, just to run this crappy system. Furthermore, for those who are interested, it is possible to modify the Windows 11 ISO to circumvent these requirements.

@@Techfluencer Yes, when it started, there were also several problems. But currently it works well, even on old computers, my current setup is basically a scrap from a Samsung np270e5v. Intel Celeron 847 1.10GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HD, and it works well, sometimes it is necessary to disable certain things and perform optimizations, but it is working perfectly well. The point is that Microsoft is transforming its product into a service, and placing a series of restrictions. Currently, Windows 11, build 24h2 will not support older machines, many people cannot afford to buy a more modern machine. Security features such as TPM 2.0 should be optional, not mandatory, for the same reason mentioned above. You will be required to create a Microsoft account, even if you don't need one, (but this can be bypassed). There are problems with Bitlocker, if for some reason you lose your password, the HD will be encrypted and you will lose your files, many users complain that when creating an account or logging in, the system automatically activates Bitlocker and links it to that specific user. .. so that, if you lose it, or if you need to reinstall the system, for some reason, the bitlocker will end up putting a tragic end to your data. Besides, Microsoft will prevent you from customizing and/or having absolute control over your system as a whole, which was already happening discreetly in Windows 10. Anyway, it will probably be a failure, Microsoft didn't learn anything from Windows 8, not from 8.1 and even from Windows 10 (only little by little, they corrected and improved). IT professionals address this too. Hence the nickname, Windows 11 is Windows 10 made worse.
