To be fair all muscle at the end of the day adds up to your overall strength, and is therefore functional. So most of the time muscles are always a plus -especially if they make us look good.

I love how neck training has been getting a lot of attention lately. I had built a pretty good physique. Lean, big chest, nice wide shoulders but I still disliked the way I looked and I couldn't figure out why. Then I read about neck theory and BAM it clicked. I have a genetic pencil neck and since then I've been doing so much neck curls and direct trap work and I look so much better. Especially with a dress shirt or t-shirt even. It's such an aesthetic muscle it's unbelievable.

*Roid Lifting leads to long-term, often permanent joint damage.* 1. Do reverse standing push-ups rather than overhead presses. Start out with pike push-ups if need be. 2. Do pull-ups. Start out with under bar plank pull ups if need be. 3. High step-ups with a weighted vest, weighted back back or dumbbells. Heavy bands can be used for overhead presses..

Don't change yourself for girls, do it because you want to be strong and be able to protect everyone you love, but not for impressing a girl. Do it for your health, for your confidence (not among the girls or friends, but for yourself to feel good). And this goes for girls as well. Just do it for yourself for your growth. Its your body your emotions and no one deserves those feelings but you. ))

Ngl doing it for the girls isn't an issue. You're supposed to want to look good so that you can attract the opposite sex. The issue is when that's the only motivation factor for you to go to the gym.
@Litkeen
@Litkeen Жыл бұрын
Actually the reason why guys find fit girls attractive and vice versa is purely genetic. We subconsciously want to have children with those who are healthier, as they will have healthier kids, which will live on. Also, it means the guy can defend the girl from danger. @@V_baddict

I will go as far as saying pull-ups is the king of all muscle exercises. It has the added benefit of decompressing your spine. It gives you back the strength that you've evolved to have (think apes hanging on trees). And it develops your grip strength, which is one of the most reliable indicators of health-span (according to Dr Attia, author of "Outlive")

Stop eating so much, get into a deficit, working out won’t cut body fat. Eating 500 calories less than your body burns each day does, also, ensure that you walk at LEAST 10,000 steps a day. Takes 1 1/2 hours to walk that much, also translates to 500 calories lost on average and 5 miles in length
