The thing about confidence that it can be shattered easily when the owner looses belief. It happened to me , I was very confident in myself I loved myself, but once you start hesitating everything becomes so fragile. I had to process this for some time since English is not my native tongue. But isn't being confident the same with not being insecure? Or is there like a middle ground where you're neither? 😅
@nexus30464 жыл бұрын
@@larisa_izabela Being confident is more like being able to back yourself even in moments of discomfort (like when they mention in the video that confident people embrace discomfort in order to learn how to better handle the situation). Not being insecure is more about accepting yourself, you can accept yourself and not embrace discomfort - this would be an example of not being insecure, but also not being confident enough to back yourself and embrace discomfort. I think its also important to note that both insecurity and confidence are on a scale, for example you can be moderately confident, but highly insecure. Its confusing i know, but i hope this helps a bit :)
@DZeroENT4 жыл бұрын
@@larisa_izabela When you feel there's no way out, the stepping stones are always there. Confidence is like the hidden path across the pit, it's there, you just have to believe. Place trust in yourself and your ability to do anything, because you can, just like everyone else. If they can do it, so can you.
@joeyjointjebaiter12754 жыл бұрын
@@larisa_izabela well, you could consider it more of a spectrum where the middle ground is like, average. Not insecure means you dont dislike yourself, which would make you average. Being confident means you believe in yourself and feel more comfortable in your own skin than just an average person who is neither insecure or confident. Same principle could be applied to being brave or simply less scared. If i taught you how to be less scared of something, you'd be less scared of that. If i taught you to be brave, you'd be less scared of everything

It takes a lot to tell yourself the truth, and after that comes the pain of knowing how you may end up as an individual if you go down the current path that you know is going to break you .But it’s worth knowing the harsh truth.Because you know it’s for the best. And confidence is built. It takes time but eventually it’ll make sense.. If anyone out there is struggling, trust me change starts with you and you can do it !! 💯❤️🌈

I scored 6/7 (and I'm working on the 7th one!). Not long ago someone called me the most confident person they've met, and that got me wondering, because no one had ever told me I'm confident before. I think now I know why. I developed this confidence during the last few years, and the fact that I'm no longer surrounded by the toxic people with whom I had to deal in school helped enormously. I still have a lot of self-work to do, but I'm proud of what I've achieved so far!

I think confidence starts from having a fairly stable childhood and growing up knowing you are safe. If you didn’t, you are insecure at your core. It’s hard to develop true confidence without these foundations. We can try, by taking action and doing, but I think there will always be doubt, even after some forms of success. You never know when the rug will be pulled out.
@hafsasalman51252 жыл бұрын
I say that as long as you try your best to heal your past and appreciate the moment, then you can be the best version of yourself. Its hard to build up confidence when you were raised with lower confidence in your childhood, I understand that. But it is not impossible. You can make so much progress by starting. And confidence is not something your born with, your taught it or you naturally make it a habit by watching the people around you when you were a child. Im speaking from experience and how accomplished I feel, because i never thought i would ever be the person I am today.

Trust me when I say, with time and work, u can rewire your mind to know your safe, and can regulate emotions as they arise and view them happily for what they are, coming and going, but it doesn’t happen overnight. Through mindfulness and awareness, and many years, you can love and accept yourself for who you are. Observe the repeating thought patterns as they arise without judgment or resistance. Allow them dissipate and be replaced. Practice practice being aware, and stay within yourself always 🙏

I hate people who fish for compliments,honestly I probably wouldn’t be friends with a girl if I heard her fishing for compliments,it cringes me ,always has...it screams insecurity

Oh yay. I’m confident. It took me a while to become confident, but I got there eventually.

I relate to 4 or 5 of the ones stated. If a situation is uncomfortable I will leave. I'm not really sure that that's a downside though.

Characters of confident people 1. you don't push the blame 2. You don't constantly seek attention 3. You don't act arrogant 4. You don't escape from discomfort 5. You don't fish for complements 6. You don't give up 7. You don't escape from the truth

Sooooo all of these fit me but it’s because I’m so uncomfortable in social situations that I just don’t say/do anything to be noticed

I match all the traits, I thought I'm not confident enough but that made me more confident.

Reasons for me to perform those actions 1. Over under confidence makes me apologise too much. 2. I don't seek attention being an introvert and under confident self cuz I doubt myself 3. Absolutely true 4. I be there ans show that I don't care cuz I over introspect myself and doubt that I'll gain unwanted attention and create a mess. So I remain quite. 5. That's true. Cuz I'm a people pleaser. 6. True as well 7. I'm an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) so it's okay for me to be like that. As most of the fellow HSPs do.
