It acctually means "hush,I know " I feel and am Polish even though I could choose different nationality. And to me it is not very polite way to talk to someone. Coz u say that when u r anoyed. When u r so sure of your position in relationship. Its so Slavic and Polish. Only in slavic countrys its threated as ok thing to say. And only 4 women. But at the same time we get ofended by for example English who is gonna say that The polish bread is awawful and how we can eat that shit.( I was thinking bout light rye bread not "razowy", hahaha) Simply I do not get the joke. What is so funy in this way of talkin. Coz its so cool? Why??????? Please someone explain it to me

About first point. My uncle works in the police and once was on duty with colleagues near his house so during a break, they went for coffee. Uncle at the entrance says not to take off your shoes (high-laced, heavy shoes that are difficult to take off and put on), the aunt said the same to enter in shoes, then runs into the hallway his 4-year-old son, sees that the men enter in shoes and said - Take off your shoes, mom washed the floor. And politely a few big men, policemen, took off their shoes so yea XDDDDDDD

Great video! I want to add to "szacunek do jedzenia" that a lot of older polish people would kiss the bread if they accidentally dropped it on the floor and would never bin the food- as they remember the time when you couldn't buy anything or had to wait long hours to get into a shop 😊

It was so accurate! Those new Western trends like "slow food" and "zero waste" for centuries were part of Polish cuisine. We cook at home, from fresh ingredients and we don't throw out food. If there are leftovers from dinner, like mashed potatoes, we don't throw them to the garbage, but next day we make out of them plumpers called "kopytka", similar to niokki. You can make the whole video about polish cuisine, about the general rules, local interesting dishes, and special place of bread, wild mushrooms and sour cabbage in our cuisine. Also about desserts and kawiarnie and cukiernie. I mean Polish people would rater go on a date to cukiernia than to a restaurant.

So I’ve come across theory that some nationalities are peaches and some are coconuts, for instance Americans are considered peaches as when they meet you, they will be friendly, tell you all about themselves and family, but those friendships might not last as you might not learn what’s really deep down inside them, Eastern Europeans, Asian countries, people are more reserved, so it will take time to get gain their trust and friendship, just like getting inside a coconut, but once you gain their trust and friendship, those tend to be lasting friendships and relationships
@SouxVEVO

I have deep friendships with Americans and can talk for hours about their feelings and insights, family problems. Ppl I met 20years ago and seen only once every 5 years. In Germany I don't really have that with Germans, it's not the norm, when I do, it is rare, nor in Czech/Eastern Europe. We have family there. It is a lot about the job, how much you make/ what car you drive, how big the house is. We should stop making those generalisations in general 😂 every time I think I got it figured out, I am proved wrong. This I can prove these ppl wrong. Good and bad everywhere, deep and shallow in every country, it is what it is. One can only try to be kind and respectful each day and treat others the way I want to be treated. Travelling has for sure opened my heart for other countries and cultures and made me a better person, I had to learn a lot and I still do. I love Poland and want to live there one day❤

It's custom that derivatives from climate differences - south European countries don't have so much rainy days, or snowy days, so it's easier to keep shoes dry and clean. The next thing is that southern countries houses are built with ceramic floors (availability of resources - lack of trees overall to use them for floors, and the quality and durability of the wood is lower), and north european houses were built with wooden floors (huge availability of good quality wood, much less ceramic like resources). And again - ceramic floors are comfortable during hot, sunny days (south), and wooden, covered with carpet are more comfortable during cold, windy and cloudy days (north). And it's easier to clean up hard surfaces, then that made from wood or fabrics. PS. It is highly visible in all southern Europe, because every old house has all ceramic floors (Spain, southern France, southern Italy, Greece), and in northern Europe - some kind of ceramic floors can be found in bathrooms and maybe kitchens. Right now, differences are disappearing, but custom is a custom, it will last for few generations more:)

Oh i think that here in Poland (i live in the north but still i guess) it works like... Usually when you're coming to somebodys house he will say "Nie, nie zdejmuj butów, no co ty" ("No, no, don't take your shoes off") but you still have to take off them - then you're reaally polite, hahaha. But some people would say "Zdejmij buty" or they would say that because you're not from Poland and you will not get it that when theyre saying "dont take off" you should take off anyways😂😂 its funny😂😂

Wracając do sedna sprawy. Parkingi płatne i okropnie drogie.

@worldcitizen123
@worldcitizen123 3 жыл бұрын
Pozdrawiam i życzę znalezienia swojego miejsca w ogłupiającym świecie.

I'm really enjoying these looks into Polish culture. They include just the right amount of Polish language to engage with the language without getting lost. I like the objective perspective from the third culture and the friendly, laugh-at-yourself (all of ourselves) vibe.

My dude I found your chanel today. Even though I usually dont sbscribe new ones but both of u and your wife(ofcourse I did not mantion Vigo on purpose coz I wanted to commit whole setence what Im doing right now. VIGO is your guys beautyfull precious gift to The World. Very cool , small dude whos gonna be very handsome but whats more important very inteligent. I can tell becouse he already speaks 2 or 3 languages)seems to very genuin, humble, just very good, loveing each other couple with The son. I was born and raised (up to 19 years old coz I left and settle in Toronto) In Warsaw. That makes me Polish and I always felt that way and even though I am not patriotic as I use to b I am still and will b Polish to the end. I like your chanel coz its about Poland seen by the foreigner, somebody who has very objectiv point of view ... ( nah, I have to b honest your perspectiv is subjectiv! U know why? U love ur Polish wife and u have been lookin on Her country thru her perspectiv. My dude, do not b angry at me for the realizm and honesty.) There is planty of chanels like yours. Almost all of them hes one thing in common. Wife is polish!!! Sorry but I am just critisizein not hatein. K? Aaay But I decided to help u guys by subscribeing and writeing that comment. I dont know 4 sure but I have a feelin that amount of subscribers , views and comments equals money. I wish your family peace and love. Most important- happines. Make thouse films bout Poland&Poles, trust me they need it coz the rest of the world knows shit bout this country!!! Even European nations have no idea that Poland is oficcially developed country. It took almost 30 years to get There but we r acctually richer then almost every estern european and some western countrys like Greece or Portugal. I know it is hard to imagine but according to economic specialist Poland is almost equal with countrys like Spain or Italy what is crazy even to me. K, Sorry for such a" long message" . I wish u and ur family all good.

So this year I've been away from everyone Polish & ended up living with only people from other countries. Them talking about culture & listening to their own country's music really got me missing Poland & having Polish friends who I can share my 'Polishness' with 😂😂 The more I live with them the more I understand how much people misjudge Poland & Polish people. I get it. It's hard if you don't experience it on your own skin. Either way. I love that there are foreigners doing these kind of videos & truly demonstrating that understanding. Thank you! You're one of the few people I've ever watched 2 ads for & I liked your videos before watching. Although I'm Polish I feel like you're even making me understand my culture better & see the little things we do that I've never really associated with me doing because of my culture. So again, thank you and keep it up! Can't wait for more videos.

@@VigosDad Hah. It is (or maybe was) a street where a LOT of football fans lived. And in Łódź you have two local teams... the fans of which hate eachother... So frequent fights occured :) and yup, with flying hatchets, knives, bricks and stuff. But this street is one of the cores of Łódź when it comes to people who live there, as very often you'll find families who lived there for generations :D

Food: There is an interesting story that foreign food industry (like Nestle or Unilever) tried to introduce ready-made food to Poland in the 90s and they failed. Consumer research showed they had to chenge the recipe just slightly to involve more home home preparation, so to make it more complicated insted of instant :)

Your channel is amazing! I came across it accidentally and have watched a few videos in a row 😁 keep going! It’s so neat, you have a great voice, energy around, you do your best to quit judging even though I know how hard it is not to offend a Pole, we take everything personally, cuz we are collectively pretty traumatized country. But wow! You are doing a wonderful job. You approach to life which you can see through the films, love it. I will definitely keep watching your videos 🧡 kisses to your wife and the most adorable child. Vigo is such a good name btw. I might steal it myself for my future baby🙈😃 and like others say (I noticed) despite there are a lot of videos like these your channel is so fresh, and makes me want to watch all the videos at once, so I guess.. that’s what best comment you can receive from you subscribers that they CANT STOP WATCHING YOU😂 greetings from a polish girl living with her Danish partner (who lived himself with me for 3,5years in Poland😁) in Denmark

I was so surprised too when I visited D.R. : 1. Outside of the resort it's scary lots of people are teaching you pulling and asking for money in groups which is very scary specialty if you don't know the language. 2. One one motorcycle you got the whole family without any helmets. 3. You can not drink any water which doesn't come from a sealed bottle. 4. In the "rich neighborhoods" they have metal bars in the windows.
@VigosDad
@VigosDad 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, this is like that but only on certain areas. It's not a good representation overall of the country. Remember that near the resorts there are a lot of people trying to take advantage of the tourists. In other cities it's not quite like that

heh. i grew up in australia, so geography teacher was just like "Poland's grey" and i had been back to poland and it was more modern and prettier than where i lived in australia. i mean, australia is mostly sand lol and our city is far away from everything. The teacher eventually ended up travelling Europe- and detoured Poland coz he remembered me saying it's pretty and didn't believe me. He came back and apologized to me AHAHAHAHAHA O.o !? oneof the few decent teachers i had, good on him. he continued learning. respect. But homemade food.. my folks are polish.. but mum... when it comes to homemade food.. she likes eating homemade food, but always stated "cooking is punishment" ahahahaha i admit i'm the same. cooking is punishment so it's tough. Polish food takes a lot of effort to make. Dad loves homecooking so much so he cooks stuff himself when it's not enough for him lol
