One fun thing to do: pay for the person behind you in line at the drive through. You'll never see them again, and you won't see their expression when they find out. The drive through person will be surprised and it's kind of fun to have them be part of the "scheme". This can be especially fun if you see that it's a mom with kids or someone else that looks like they could use a little ray of light in their day.

I've always wanted to do this - how do you do it? Do you just tell them when you pull up to the window that you want to pay for the person behind you, and they know the total they owe and that's how you can pay for the exact amount? How can you know the employee really let the customer know their food was paid for by you, rather than just not saying anything and pocketing the extra money?
@toastrecon5 жыл бұрын
Di Di Bee I’ve usually just said: “hey, I’d like to pay for the car behind me, too.” Sometimes they ask if I know them or something, but I’ve never had anyone say I couldn’t. I don’t think they’d have the ability to steal the funds from a CC transaction. Maybe if they rang it up twice and then took the food? My personal take is that most fast food workers are pretty down to earth people and would rather be a part of something fun and memorable during their shift rather than find a way on the spot to steal.

This really worked for mood boosting and sleeplessness. I laid flat on my back on the edge of my bed and just edged my head to hang over the mattress for 5 mins. I then slowly brought my head over the mattress and did breathing exercises for about 5 minutes and it worked wonders. I slept like a baby without anxiety. Thank you are heaven sent 👼🏼

This really helped me! I listened to this twice while getting ready to go out with my boyfriend and I didn’t want to have my social anxiety and moodiness from drinking alcohol (especially on my period) get in the way of me having a positive outlook and good mood for the night. I walked into the bar and was smiling to myself thinking about the things that you mentioned. Thank you!

Meditation is good to clear your head and soaking in a warm tub with Epson salt, like Dr. Teals is good for muscle relief, a tablespoon of tumeric a day is good for joint aches and relief, garlic is good for the heart same with magnesium. St. John's Wart is good for depressive states. And a good hug and kiss or a snuggle go along ways too. Thank you Julia Kristina Counseling KZbin channel for the incredible encouraging words of advice and education to assist in furthering our healing process. Thank you with all my heart again.

I create art and want to pursue with it, so I have been trying to practice with my left hand. I currently bought myself a left-handed adult coloring book and have started coloring with my left (non-dominat) hand this week. I am going to color more today. 💪

This has worked for me. I've spent my first Christmas away from my family and I miss them so much. I've been feeling worried and lonely through this situation. To make matters worse my job is so demanding and I can't travel home to be with them. I have no one to talk to and I've been stressing so much. Breathing in deep and laying upside down has worked for me. Thank you!

Just hung upside down for the first time 😂 It really helped having a “wake up” feeling! It also reminded me of that Scene in “Dead Poets Society” where Robin Williams had the students stand on top of their desks to remind themselves to constantly look at things a different way. 🤗 My dream is to be a clinical psychologist .. my one small action for today is to continue to prepare for the graduate school test by doing a small set of practice questions for today! I fell into a burn out rut of over-studying so this came at the perfect time!! Thank you so much for these unique ways!!! 💜💜💜

What makes me happy are enjoying relationships. I dream of one day of not doing so much physical labor at age 65 in the rental business. I will dream of retiring in 4 years & 3 weeks when I'm 70. Many of those things you said I can personally vouch for. Hanging upside down is what I've done when I'm sleepy. At your question at 6:40, before continuing to see the rest of the video : I think willpower is very important for your mood. I'm not that strong on willpower but whenever I push through something difficult and expend willpower I ALWAYS feel satisfied and happier afterwards. It works like clockwork. There has also been scientific research into this, see for instance the book Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Human Strength. Now let's see the rest of the video to see if this is in the list.

Is hanging upside down regularly going to have long term effects on brain blood vessels, either positive or negative? I can imagine it would trigger an adaptation which makes blood vessels more elastic. I can also imagine it does nothing. Or I can imagine it pushes aneurysms along. This reminds me of how trepanation is said to constantly elevate mood due to increased blood flow to the brain.

I put it into practice this morning, by: challenging myself to heavier weights at the gym; buying the creamers for the office co-workers; tackling the budget and a host of things I put off on my "To Do" list; taking deep breaths; set goals for memorizing new Bible verse cards as part of my "dream" achievement; and, spent time praying and meditating. I was wondering if you could make a video about executive functioning.
@juliakristinamah5 жыл бұрын
What specifically are you interesting in learning about executive functioning?
@gentlebutch5 жыл бұрын
@@juliakristinamah I have some issues with executive functioning but don't know how to explain it to others. My main issues personally are planning things with a lot of steps, completing open ended tasks for example, clean the kitchen as opposed to xyz needs to be done in the kitchen. I also have trouble shifting tasks when an activity changes in what needs to be done or I get interrupted. It seems to confuse people especially if I'm in the middle of a task and someone needs me to do something else sometimes I lash out because I don't know what to do whether I should finish the one task or try to remember to go back to it which is really hard for me to do. I would be open to advice on these challenges but I really would like to learn how to explain these things to others because I hate when I hurt other people's feelings and people are shocked because I am very careful to not hurt people's feelings so it's almost like it's out of left field and seems to hurt them even more if that makes sense.
