Definitely need closed captioning. Love your videos! thank you so much for the natural cleaning tips. I am super sensitive and have primarily used vinegar and baking soda, sometimes Cream of Tartar . However, I would get push back that it isn't real cleaning. I am also very good at procrastinating and this does give the extra shove to get it started and eventually done.

Used vinegar to remove the stale cigarette stink from our apartment when we moved in. My husband got a paint roller and we applied vinegar all over the walls and ceilings. Had to do it a few times where the stink had built up in one of the bathrooms. It took a couple days to air out, but it got that nasty casino smell out!

You know what just occurred to me. I think people who know this about dandelions (and now that includes all of us now...thanks! LOL!) Anyway, maybe we should start planting dandelions, in our veggie gardens, on purpose! Then we don't have to worry about the rest of them because, with all the landscaping companies out there, many, if not MOST of the dandelions probably get sprayed and may not be so good for the bees anyway. 🐝🐝🐝🐝

I put in my detergent which is usually some type of free and clear kind (I use very little) and then I put in a splash of vinegar..my guess is around 1/4 cup or less. Honestly I have never really measured! But it's not a lot..but whatever I do I feel like it helps!!!

Vinegar is great in the laundry! I have not bought fabric softener in 15 years. In a Front-loader use 1/2 cup vinegar in the rinse cup and your laundry resists fading, rinses really well and even towels and jeans are soft! Love it! (of course, if too much detergent is used, the results are diminished)

When my grandmother was growing up, you could use vinegar and newspaper to clean glass. Not so much now as newspapers are not like they used to be. But, it is great with flour sack towels. Vinegar and Baking Soda is awesome for cleaning toilets, stainless steel sink, and for washers and dishwashers. I have been using White distilled Vinegar on my hair for years. Strips out build up, but makes my hair super soft and not frizzy. Cleans coffee pots, humidifiers, etc. Dollar Tree has an awesome vinegar based glass cleaner. Great in clothes for "disinfecting" and softening. Also good for sunburns. It will take out the sting. 1 cup of vinegar in a gallon of room temperature water. Pour over body, slowly.

I use a 50/50 water & Apple cider vinegar as a final rinse on my hair about once every 2 weeks and I get asked how I get my hair so shiny, I think it's the ACV. I also mix a 1/4 cup of ACV with about 4 cups of tepid warm water as a final rinse on my dog, of course NOT on his head or near his eyes. It makes his hair feel like silk. That's him in my profile pic. The vet recommends it for white dogs who have color stained fur which is probably a common yeast that is caused from dogs hair getting wet a lot. Like tear stains. Rinsing them with the ACV kills the yeast. My guy had severe tear stains.

Super way to absorb the stink of old cigarette smoke. When I moved into my new apt, the bedroom rug and underpaid had been replaced, the whole place had been painted and some cleaning had been done. BUT, in the kitchen, lingering stale stink, like old taxi cabs used to be. How a dish of vinegar absorbs odours is a mystery ... but a good one. 💖💕

This is not meant as a CMS 'debunk' because obviously Chad and Melissa are awesome, but a word of caution - I tried the last tip on my kitchen faucet a few years ago to get rid of hard water build up, and I came back a few hours later to find the vinegar (standard 5%) had eaten away at the metal of the outside of the faucet! We still have it, and it just kinda looks like one of those railings that has several layers of paint partially chipped off...

Happy birthday, Melissa. Love the cleaning videos but I do have a video suggestion, I would love to see a day in the life vlog, if you guys feel comfortable with that. I'm pretty sure most of us would love to see just a normal day. And Melissa, you should maybe post more videos on your channel about skincare, makeup, fashion coz idk if you realize or not but girl you're killing it. Also, I would love to see vlogs coz I genuinely enjoy your family. You all are a delight. And Riley, I haven't seen a cuter baby girl.

Happy birthday!! Quick question- is there a diy carpet cleaner with vinegar as well, or do you prefer to just use the store bought cleaner? I know professional is best, but we can't do that right now and my carpet is in desperate need of a clean.

I use a cPap machine and you're to clean the filters and tubing once a week and yep, you guessed it, vinegar and a small drop or two of dish soap is what my doctor recommended to clean and disinfect the tubing!

I buy vinegar by the gallon. I have been making natural cleaners for years. I didn’t know I could use it as a weed killer. That’s great. I will definitely try that.

I use vinegar on my cats water fountain, it gets rid of the hard water build up and it’s natural and safe and not a harsh chemical so I love using it on his water and food containers

oil, vindgar, salt, pepper, puree with strawberries or raspberries. Sometimes put in a squeeze of lime or lemon juice and reduce the vinegar a bit. Use cider vinegar. sometimes put a little grated ginger in it. IT is so cheap to make, no containers to store in refrigerator or throw in the landfill. Use a mason jar to mix and pour.

My son got tired of going to the local wholesaler to buy vinegar for me, as I use vinegar to clean my whole house as well as a substitute softener for my washing. So today he came back with four 5litres of vinegar & told me that he hopes it will last for the rest of the year! 😁

I hadn’t heard the tip about soaking the cleaning tools in vinegar and I was wondering about them! Thanks to you I know the difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting - which of these will be accomplished by soaking the bathroom tools in vinegar? If it isn’t disinfecting, do you have any tips for how best to do this? How often do you recommend doing the vinegar soak? Thanks!

I have the same question. I think, based on what she said, it’s just cleans them and gets the dirt and other deposits off the tool, but that it doesn’t totally disinfect or sanitize them. From an older video she posted, she suggests spraying the toilet brush with rubbing alcohol after it’s been cleaned.

Hey dear Melissa, wishing you a very happy birthday. Watching your videos everyday on repeat while I do my chores and I have no mood to play music is how I spent my entire lockdown. My CMS kitchen cleaner is my favorite and so not harsh to my hands. Please share about your drawer garbage bin, what do call it. I really want one. Thank you. Regards, Gurdeep
