My grandmother passed away at 102 years old. I remember growing up in Jamaica every morning around 9am, by her request, my mother would help her to sit under an ackee tree that was in the middle of our yard. She would sit there until around 1pm then we helped her back inside the house. She loved being out in the sun. At 102 years old, she was still able to read, remembered everything about her childhood days growing up in Cuba and working in the canefields in Cuba. She had no aches and pains but walked a little slow using her walking stick. We used to have fun asking her the time because she would look up at the sun and was able to tell us the exact time of day. She passed away just from old age. She was AMAZING.

I used to take vitamin D everyday. I stopped after I started feeling better. I've been in the doctors office for high bp, kidney issues, etc. I haven't been outside much, and I haven't been taking D. Wow! My doctor hasn't even addressed any deficiencies except for anemia. So glad to have more black doctors making videos. God bless!

@@Sophisticated8 I feel you on this. Doctors have been pushing us pills like on overdrive this decade. So many of them have gone to school with the intent of taking care of people. But, by the time they've finished school and gotten a job, their focus is easily turned toward making money. They have to pay back loans and deal with the hassels of not getting paid accordingly by insurance companies and the government. Big pharmaceutical companies offer them perks/kick backs which fill in gaps. It's sad to know that today's doctors have succumbed to killing us off, rather keeping us alive.

Although I live a healthy lifestyle I always feel bad. I got a physical this week. I’m 69 years old. I don’t take any medication. All of my labs were fine except for my vitamin D level which is basically nonexistent. My nurse practitioner told me that she could prescribe me a vitamin D prescription but it really wouldn’t make much difference. She did not offer any other advice. I immediately came home to see what Dr. Price had to say and this video popped up before I had a chance to search. This man is such a blessing to me. I feel hopeful that I can improve my vitamin D and feel better. I hope he has a video about how to do this. I love this brilliant, kind, and informative man. Thank you so much.❤

I understand. I'm 61 and some days have low energy. I sit in the sun everyday. Not heat of the day but early morning before noon. It makes me feel like a flower that opens up. Try it. Also think twice about a doctor who tells you it won't make a difference regarding your health.

Excellent info!! Thank you so much for caring enough to help others. I was diagnosed as being diabetic… Side note I have NEVER called myself diabetic. Mind body connection. Anyway. My vitamin D levels were basically nonexistent when I was checked. After increasing my vitamin D levels everything started to normalize again. The “health care” professional said I would have to always take insulin or Janumet etc… NOPE. Mind body connection. After a few months of changing my sugar/carb intake and getting my vitamin D levels all straight… I was taking NO meds. Haven’t had to take meds since 2017 when I was diagnosed at that time. Folks take note to what the doctor is saying. YOU HAVE WHAT YOU NEED to change it all. Thanks again. 🤎👍🏾🏆🙏🏾🥕🍅🍠🍉Also side note…. MY GARDEN IS KICKING OUT MEDICINE DAY AND NIGHT!!!!

A long Time ago I found out my vitamin D levels where at a 4 and the doctors never told me. I went to the record room, to get my blood history printed out,, thats how I found out it was at a level 4 and I have the proof. When I started my three-week vacation, it became evident to me that I wasn’t feeling well, I felt like I was dying. I even stated to myself that if I die, I would be ok with it, I felt fatigue, very tired, and wanted to sleep. Then something told me to order vitamin d. At the time amazon didn’t have the fast shipping but my vitamin d came two days later. The man who delivered it, staired straight into my eyes, and handed me the box. I felt like he was, upset cause I was ready to go. I took the vitamin d and hours later started to feel better. This taught me to never put my full trust in the doctors hands because they don’t care about you. Later I heard a doctor on youtube say that they use to pass bets on clients to see who would die first. This confirmed to me that they do not care about our health. So now I make sure to do as much research as I can and to keep my vitamins and mineral levels up.

I have struggled with low vitamin D for years. In 2015 I was told I possibly had rheumatoid arthritis. My vitamin D level was 6.4 I was given Rx of 50,000 weekly iu for 8 weeks and 12 week cycles for years without significant increase. I was prescribed meloxicam for pain by the rheumatologist. I was diagnosed with diabetes and calcium blockage in my heart and prescribed Metformin, atorvastin, losartin and trulicity. Through learning about nutrition. I started taking vitamin D-K2 for at least 6 months and my level went to 32 I stopped eating nightshade foods for a good while. I started turmeric/circumin and coq10 and when I went for and angiogram the cardiologist came in to tell my husband and I that the blockage was no longer there and no stints were needed. I am a believer and walking testament to the power of vitamins to correct deficiencies and disease

I had a stem cell transplant w/ chemo in 2015, which gave me a new immune system, stopped the progression of the disease, I no longer need to take MS medication and some of the symptoms have been reversed. I take 5000 IU of vitamin d3 everyday and have done so since 2015. I'm not sure what my vitamin d levels are, but would you recommend me increasing the dosage to 10,000 IU? 😮Wow! I’m 70 years old and never had a doctor explain why we need these vitamins and minerals, or even how they work in our bodies to fight off disease and inflammation, and infection. Doctors never take the time to educate us on how our bodies work and definitely what we require to keep us alive and well. Shame on all these other doctors for not telling us what we have to have in order for our bodies to run efficient, I would think that if they are not going to take care of us that they would set up an education room for those of us that need help learning. I can only imagine even the horrific deaths and all the pain and suffering that people have gone through needlessly. This hit home with me tonight, I am laying here watching your show and in so much pain my whole body hurts like average an 8 all the pain scale constantly and I see a pain Dr. I came off Hydrocodone after taking it for 30 years and now I take Belbucca 900 Mc 3 times a day. I had some bad liver enzymes from taking Cymbalta all these years and now I itch all the time I also see a liver doctor as well. I had Polio at 4 years old and have all kinds of arthritis and I won’t go into everything that’s wrong with me or that I’ve been through, for it is too long and too horrendous. Maybe it’s not too late in my years to enjoy some life with your help. Thank you doctor a million times over ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am a newly certified health and wellness coach focused on a wholistic approach to healing. I am now 55 but was diagnosed with stage four uterine cancer in my 30s and decided to go down the path of allowing my body to heal itself with proper nourishment instead of chemo. My doctor thought I was crazy, but allowed me to try. Some months later, out of fear I allowed them to perform surgery and do you know when they ran the biopsy on my uterus after the surgery my cancer was down graded from stage 4 to stage 1. What I was doing was working. I couldn't keep what I had learned to myself and decided to become a coach and guide others. People don't believe me when I tell them their condition is linked to some sort of deficiency. They'd rather believe the diagnosis from skewed tests they receive from doctors and would rather take synthetic drugs that may mask the problem and exacerbate another. I know doctors were placed here for a reason, and I respect the profession, but the medical field is now overrun by Big Pharma and they aren't really allowed to advise the way they would like. We need more people like you sharing and educating US on health and wellness. Thank you for taking the time to explain the ins and outs of having a Vitamin D deficiency. Your breakdown was very digestible. This was meat for my soul. ☺

I probably have v-D deficiency, I have all those health problems you connected it with. The doctor says everything except my sugar looks fine, I can’t believe that. I do take v-D every day. My old doctor was prescribing it long. I’m a mostly home body and rather stay in. I’m improving my health since I’ve been taking your advice, eating vegetables all day and fasting. I got your beautiful cookbook today, but I might have to come out of retirement to purchase all those products needed to Follow those recipes. You made the print and pages so nice, big and colorful. I will start stocking up soon on a few items at a time and then try a simple recipes. Good Looking Out Dr Price😊

Thank you Dr. Price for sharing the information. After viewing this video I went back to check my vitamin d lab results, 13. I’ve since taken vitamin d3 however I didn’t realize the connection I’ve been experiencing such as higher B/P, insulin resistance, inability to lose weight, out of control hormones, and more. I did a 18 day detox in last month but I now understand that if I want to be healthy I need to detox on a regular basis. I will make detox important part of my life as well as the continued supplement of vitamin d. Again Dr. Price thank you for sharing great information and keeping people informed.

Ha! Funny I came acrossed this! I am a very dark or deep melanated person. (Much darker than the doc). I grew up in BR Louisiana and as you said, I played ALL DAY outside for HOURS upon HOURS and NO ONE had ever talked to me about sunscreen and nor did I ever think I needed it. I am totally fine with no skin issues. As a matter of fact, I actually get sick much faster if I stay indoors for months at a time (long winters). I personally don't think I need sunscreen and if I did, I wouldn't know what to get. I think WE are fine. I'm sure someone will say otherwise.

@@gr8filibuster Well u do know “black people” can get skin cancer and there’s a possibility it’s from the UV rays from the sun… I just recently started wearing sunscreen on days I’m in the sun all day. Hello, Dr. Bobby My blood pressure has been very high . I do have high blood pressure, but it has just really been up lately. A while back I went to the Dr. and told her that I was very tired. She checked my vitamin D and told me that my vitamin D was low. I go to bed tired and wake up tired. I ran out of the medicine that she gave me and started taking over the counter vitamin D. I'm not sure if it's enough. Since you made this video I'm going to my Dr. to get tested again. Thankyo, so much for these videos. I also watched the video of you and your friend that laughed and had such a great time. You and her had a basket of fruit off your farm. Thank you so much @DrBobbyPrice! I was recently diagnosed with a deficiency in Vitamin D. I was told to get outside and get more sun, I was given a prescription to help raise my low vitamin D levels, but I was NOT told how or that the Vitamin D deficiency was contributing to all of the problems that you mentioned as symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency. Those symptoms of lower back pain (inflammation), depression, fatigue, pre-diabetes, elevated blood pressure, weight gain can all be traced back to the vitamin D deficiency. This is blowing mind but it makes so much sense. I had been thinking about a detox for a while but was reluctant because I do feel so bad most of the time. I’ll be speaking with my physician about all of this and starting a regular detox plan and eliminating some things from my diet. So, thank you again @DrBobbyPrice. This is such a blessing to have all of this great information explained in a way that helps me understand. Stay blessed. ✌🏾🌺🙂

You are an answered prayer. My Vitamin D was 10.9 and my cousin's daughter's level was 4. I have been taking 50,000IU of Vitamin D for years and the best it has ever been is 26. I have been diagnosed with Lupus and with RA. At the moment there is no evidence of Lupus but we know there is more than just RA. In recent years I have been developing kidney stones and I am watching my kidney function because I get kidney and urinary tract infections often. I have recently started a plant based diet and have seen some improvement in symptoms as well as weight loss. However, I know that I need a detox. I was told this years ago because my appendix ruptured before they could get me into surgery. I have been praying about the reason why my body would turn on itself. You gave me some answers. Hello Dr. Price, I am so thankful that I found your page. Just watching a couple of your videos which has helped me a great deal! I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis ‘ 93 & Ménière’s ‘15. Both of these conditions are related to inflammation in my body, it affects my vision, mood, lungs and I am fatigued a lot. When I learned about being vitamin D deficiency I was pretty much depleted. I had to have blood transfusion in 2016 and also prescribed 50,000 IU of vitamin D. I’m 55 years old and also suffer from anemia due to fibroids and heavy bleeding. I’m just trying to find natural remedies for fighting these conditions to live better. I don’t eat horribly but I’m sure I can do better. What would you recommend that could help? My anxiety has gotten so high due to the violent vertigo episodes. I am originally from Chicago but now reside in Georgia so I am constantly watching the weather because the barometric pressure has impacts on my system. Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance
