Hi Dr Berg, great video as always. I do have a question about the video: you recommended 100mg of zinc per day. The upper safety limit on zinc for adult males is 40mg per day, and I haven't found any papers supporting 100mg of daily zinc in individuals not suffering from hypogonadism. Are you able to explain why you recommended this amount? Thanks

I noticed similar. I don’t find any other explanation than the 2 options below : 1 - It was a typo and he ment 10 mg 2 - All zincs combined, meaning 20 - 25 mg from supplements + the rest is created naturally by our body Hope DR can provide more details

Hi dr berg, thank you for all your videos they are so incredibly useful! I have 2 questions if possible to ask you? 1. Can you test how low your testosterone is without seeing a doctor? 2. Regarding high cholesterol can we do this with good fats like mct oil, coconut oil, avocados instead of animal and bad fats? My dad is really fatigued a lot and I think this really could be it! Also he is at the age where testosterone drops low naturally but with all this you have said this will incredibly help!!

This is only loosely related to the video, but something I've been wondering about which I've never seen discussed: What is the quality of body fat compared to dietary fat ? For example, I've been burning about a pound of fat a week using low-carb combined with overall caloric deficit (eating about 1500 calories, burning about 2000, numbers confirmed by careful tracking of inputs and weight loss over 3 months)....not that the answer will change anything I am doing, but is it safe to say that my body fat probably has a lot of vitamins dissolved within, and that get released as I burn it off ? And if so, can I refer to my own body fat as a healthy fat from a technical standpoint ?

I RAISED MY TESTOSTERONE OVER 400% by doing 3 things 1. forgoing a low fat diet for a whole food, no processed raised it from 7 to 13 on our canadian scale that goes from 5 to 28 2. then it went from 13 to 18 by foregoing typical deoderants, shampoos, soaps cleaners and going all organic. using cast iron, glass instead of teflon and plastic food container 3. then doing keto it went 18 to 23 4 . nowadays while doing all of the above plus occasional fasting it has literally gone off the charts to 30

TRT is a life long treatment. If you stop taking it, your testosterone levels will drop and you will suffer as your body may not produce any because it has been suppressed while on TRT. I would find the reasons why you have low T in the first place and naturally improve it. Diet, exercise, sleep etc.

Most things are spot on, except: 1. Organic food still uses pesticides, usually significantly more than it's traditional counterparts. 2. Organic pesticides have no safe established blood level, and have limited studies on the long-term impact to health. 3. While most soy products do indeed trigger the aromatization of testosterone into estrogen, two recent studies have shown that specifically soy isolates have a negligible impact on hormone balance.
