7 Ways to Make Time to Go Faster We Don't Recommend in Real Life

In the real world, the only time travel we’re allowed is forward, at a rate of one hour per hour. But seeing what game characters do to make time pass more quickly, maybe it's just as well. Metal Gear Solid 5’s Venom Snake is exactly the kind of guy who would spend a whole day hiding in a bush, weeing in a bottle and waiting for the perfect moment to infiltrate an enemy stronghold.
Recognising how tedious this would be, MGS5 kits Snake out with the Phantom Cigar: a device that accelerates time and makes a lady say woah-oh a lot.
There is at least a bit of rationalisation behind the Phantom Cigar; it contains wormwood, which MGS5 reckons has hallucinatory and anaesthetic effects at high doses. Modern medicine unfortunately reckons it actually causes convulsions and kidney failure at high doses.
It's only as risky as meditating in a forest full of monsters, though, which is how Geralt of The Witcher 3 kills time.
See, some monsters Geralt needs to kill only come out at certain times, such as nightwraiths.
That’s not great for a Witcher who isn’t paid by the hour, so rather than standing around waiting on the schedule of some ghostly apparition, Geralt can do a little meditation to pass the time.
We assume his finely tuned Witcher senses will bring him around if he's about to be eaten by a roaming bear. Non-Witchers should practice caution.

Quick questions. How is Geralt constantly poor? Or at least I was. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this world is filled with dangerous monsters and Geralt is one of a handful of people who can deal with these horrible creatures... how the hell is Geralt not the wealthiest person alive? He has the monster market absolutely cornered and the demand is huge, you can't find a town that isn't being plagued be some kind of monster. While the supply of Witchers is low, you meet like three of them. Basic economics suggests Geralt should be rolling in money. Just sayin. Now that I think about it that should be a list. Characters who clearly mismanaged their money because there is no reason they should be broke.

lol nope. been offered in high school. i dont like the concept of letting a substance control my mood and appetite unless medical reasons.and i dont know about the not going to hurt anyone thing. no pothead in my school made it very far. some graduated and that was it. others graduated and dropped out of college. whether thats weed or just shitty education idk. which kinda sucks cuz some of them were smart and good people. but i do recall heroine addicts saying it started with just weed. then laced weed. i dont know anyone whose into all natural weed, mostly the laced ones
