Great information! I went on a Keto diet and my LDL shot up so high. I was drinking bulletproof coffee every morning. I am otherwise fit and of normal body weight. I am now trying the MD

I am on a ketogenic lifestyle. Since I have been on it my blood sugar is normal. My sugar is between 80 to 110. I have only been on it for 2 mos. but I am going to stay on it.
Thank you Dr. Hyman… you give help and hope to so many people. I have some confusion: I have had A1C of 5.1 for decades… while my diet is not perfect…I try to limit carbs and eat plenty of veggies…yet my HDL is and has been about 30! I’m a 64 year old guy in seemingly good health.

Thank you this is incredibly helpful. I ate like absolute TRASH and had a horrible mentality with food. I had neuropathy and was a prediabetic. The USA is all about over consumption and fast living quantity over quality. I gave up all processed sugars and refined carbs dropped 45 lbs in 2 months andfelt like I escaped death. Eat clean high quality olive and avacado oils throw the rest of the other garbage oils out. If you eat meat grass fed pasture raised organic is the absolute best and eat veg and fruit y clean simple planned and watch your life change before your eyes. You can enjoy fast food once in a while as a treat. Its investment vstransactional eating. It saved my life hopefully helps yours

I can't thank you enough for your wonderful videos! I would love to somehow speak with you! My son was just diagnosed with parkinson's, there is dementia in our family as well. Any help that you can possibly provide for my son would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Look up Dr. Robert morse and Patrick delves. You son needs to start making green smoothies and veggies and cut out all bad food and oils. There are herbs and minerals that strengthen the central nervous system. Look them up before it get worse.

I saw one of your videos where you said to eat butter and whole milk. Is that true when you have little elevated levels of LDL cholesterol? My ldl in july was 153 and total cholesterol was 232 but hdl was 66 & triglycerides was 70. Should I still eat butter,ghee, whole milk?

Hi Dr. Hyman, Thank you for all your great videos. I try to avoid saturated fat, but once in a while I will eat steak or bacon. When I do, my legs and arms hurt quite a bit. Is that a sign of clogged arteries? Thanks

Well cholesterol is produced by the liver and is not needed in the diet. Whats your point?

How come groups with lower serum levels of cholesterol often have higher testosterone? Isn't our brain's cholesterol made in the brain and not in the liver? Will this book debunk the idea of there being a blood-brain barrier? Saturated fat raised LDL more than HDL in all of the metabolic ward studies. How do you explain this? Most people who have heart attacks have normal cholesterol? Normal for whom? Historically normal? Normal for rural Japan? or normal for Americans? How did they achieve those cholesterol levels through a life long healthy diet or through statins after having elevated cholesterol levels? I thought the official dietary guidelines tell us to eat as little cholesterol as possible. Why do you fail to mention this? Does this not fit your agenda? Is this the same Ronald Krauss that has received funding from the dairy council, cattlemen's beef association and the Atkins foundation or a different one? High fat diets lower fitness performance as well. Both large and small particles are atherogenic, are you denying this? I don't disagree with everything you say but without any citations this is all quite hard to believe.

When you say sugar is bad, are you talking about fruit sugar too?
@GaryHighFruit8 жыл бұрын
+NaturalHI I'll never leave you confused like that. Low-carb people sometimes tell you fruit is ok, but still "stear" you away by stearing you to so much bull - as if we were carnivores. We're Frugivores, and science and nature prove it.
@missannettep67965 жыл бұрын
Yes, but sugar is both that, glucose/sugar and fat, it has both properties, it's a carb and a fat! Pres. Clinton went from high fat McDonald's meals and high fat diet to plant diet and it saved his life, got him slim ... He had a close call when he had surgery due to heart disease. He still lives with his plant based diet.

Burgers is not keto.Hight fat he is talking about is not what you think.And Clinton was is a cocaine user all of his life.

I feel bad people fall for this guy's BS. It's sounds convincing because there is some truth to what he's saying, but most of it is BS. He goes to the extent of mentioning how many hospitals and people were included in the study, but doesn't even cite it?? This guy gives MDs a bad name..
