It was one in the morning. Just after midnight. I was eight years old and the room started shaking. I could hear pots and pans and shards of glass rattling around inside the kitchen. I was too scared to run to my parents, since the hallway was blocked with a cherry blossom tree that had fallen through the roof. It missed me by an inch and I'd never been more terrified for my life. I hid under my bed, and it lasted for what seemed like hours, but was probably only a few minutes. It eventually stopped, and the building next to us was leaning against our apartment, which had shattered on the ground floor. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt, and we were only on the second level. Later I found out that it was an earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.7. Still to this day would be the most terrifying thing to ever happen to me.

And I'll be honest, when we returned to campus it was calm and quiet, too quiet, scary kind of quiet , the atmosphere was so 'dead' and 'lifeless' so I really didn't wanna go there,, but hey! I finished high-school and now its okay. But I still miss them and let's hope that school shootings will stop with time.

It runs in my family so when I was diagnosed I wasnt very surprised but it was still very scary. Some don't understand how hard it can be to go through the things we do, it goes for bulimia too.
