We've got similar stories Pete. I also had cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I never started weightlifting before treatment but i am now and it's one of the many reasons my life is better. That and being cancer free of course. I just benched 135lbs, 10lbs above my body weight and I couldn't be even more happier. My long term goal is to enlist in the Air Force. I hope we both can achieve all of our goals!

Fallout Why would a 315 bench be a dream? That pretty much what most people can reasonablely get to in 15-24 months starting from bar only if they know their shit. Novice gains then beginner intermediate phase. After 315, it is really gonna take years for progress on higher bench.

Phil Harvey well back then they didn't train as efficiently for legs or anything. It's also height dependant so a short guy could probably get over 28 if he had amazing genetics. I don't think ffmi is really useful at all. It's not accurate so I'd prefer to just look at things like their shoulders and traps to see if they're natural

Dryden Brown Yeah, "720+" I wasn't saying it was exactly 20 pounds. in an earlier video in this series Pete already said something along the lines of this being more than 700 pounds because of the bar.

thats shit skinny kids say who have been going to the gym for 3 months and think they know lifting because they've seen some tutorials on youtube. It's a one rep max: OFCOURSE it's not going to be pretty and yes therefore there may be a chance of injury, but thats what every lifter knows before attempting it.

Slight roundish on the upper back is fine and it's only when your lower back rounds that you should be worried about.

You always wanna a straight back when you deadlift, however that is not always possible especially when you are hitting a new PR.

i am passionate about bodybuilding as well i start maybe 2-3 years ago only bench pressing 50 and now i've almost almost quadrupled that weight to almost 200 lbs. I was born with cerebral palsy and the doctors told my parents i wouldn't passed day 1 and now here i am 25 years later and proved everybody wrong. All i'm saying is i know how it feels to want to do something that others don't believe you can because of a setback. Congrats on the milestone Pete so happy for you. We can do anything if we work hard enough 200 lbs bench press here I come. such an inspiring and emotional video i almost cried. Congratulations again Pete and may you reach all your future goals as well :)
