I discovered something during happy baby pose; I felt the distinct urge to lift the head and look towards my feet, which felt really good, especially on the neck and upper back. I was wondering maybe it could be a pleasant experience to do happy baby with supported upper back and head...!? Thank you for the video. Do you have an alternative way to sit for those of us for whom even the half-shoelace pose is not available?

Hi David, this is a very common question, I think I’ll make a little video on it soon… so thank you for asking! For shoelace, the main goal is to stretch the glutes. You could sit cross legged on the mat with an option to go deeper by folding forward, or you could do ‘Broken Shoelace’ by sitting on the mat and crossing your ankles. If sitting on the mat for shoelace is not comfortable you can lie on your back and hold one knee to your chest, or for reclined shoelace you could lie on your back, cross your ankles, and gently pull your feet towards the body. I hope that is helpful. I’ll try put together a little tutorial soon ☺️
