Fish pony said it in a comment already by I agree 100% the individual tank updates is a great idea for a video series! I’ll be back to check out every system update for sure! I’m fascinated with coral farming/ aquaculture, especially on this scale! I’ve been doing this for probably 14 years now so the amount of respect I have for anyone who’s able to pull this off is hard to even put into words. Much love wwc 🍻 happy reefing

Love this and it would be good to go further in depth - but this is SUCH a great intro video for most people. I am wondering with the new Radions (and even Gen5) how lights so high are going to go. I would rather mount lights higher. Got a wilsoni - yeah it receded and I moved it and it's nice and puffy (like a Lord) but it doesn't grow. Need to get a heronensis.

They’re not the fastest grower.. but if you’re looking for good growth and coloration, focus mainly on your water parameters. Especially nitrates/phosphates.

Do they need that water movement to survive?
@WorldWideCorals2 жыл бұрын
Water movement is KEY for the overall filtration of the tank. Some corals prefer stronger water movement, some prefer less. But yes, water movement is needed for them to survive.

At 3:30 or so there is a large coral at right side of the screen. Purple with bright green polyps. What is it? I'm thinking about setting up a nano. So my knowledge base is limited. I'm think it could be some kind of leather but I don't know.
@WorldWideCorals2 жыл бұрын
That’s right! It’s a leather coral :) would be good for a nano because they’re easy to care for. They can grow quick though, so be prepared to frag!

Wich phosphat levels you target for SPS tank?
@WorldWideCorals2 жыл бұрын
Between 0.01-0.1, just like any parameters, keeping it consistent is the most important factor:)

Phosphate 0.02 or 0.2?

.02ppm is ideal, but anything under .1ppm

How much do you recommend having nitrates and phosphates for a mixed aquarium??
@WorldWideCorals2 жыл бұрын
Nitrates below 30 and phosphates below 0.1. You want to find a number that works best for you and the corals and just try your best to stay consistent with it :)

is it possible to simulate more coral aggressive growth than nature
@WorldWideCorals2 жыл бұрын
You can definitely simulate faster growth compared to nature :) consistently trimming down/ fragging these corals is a great example on how to produce more corals and promote growth as well :)
