Beautiful design! And congrats on 75k. Can I asked about lifting the straws back up when you put the top tier on. Why is that needed? Or is there no board under the top tier so the straws are pushing into the top tier as well?

Thanks! I just do that so that I can get my fingers out without messing up the frosting. There is always a board under each tier, so the weight of the next tier helps push them back down.

The turntable is a lazy Susan I got at Home Goods! The mat is a quilting mat that you can find on Amazon. There are different sizes and I think mine is 3ft by 2 ft.

I know I asked you about the straws in the bottom tier recently, but why is it that you like to pull them up and push them down with the top tier?

That way, I keep my fingers out of the way, and the weight of the cake helps to push them down.

I think what happened was that you didn't use a cake cardboard in between all those layers. I think that would have helped keep it square. I love the cake but not a fan of the yellow added to the pink. Cake was beautiful otherwise
