After seeing Becca and Noura in the Glass Cannon Cthulhu stream, I'll watch anything they're in. They're hilarious.

Check out Becca's channel GoodTimeSociety, where she's got her own Call Of Cthulhu series called The Calyx, sometimes with Noura too.

I just knew about the existence of this video and I gotta say London is a lucky man! He played Pathfinder 2e with Jason Bulhman and he also gets to play with John Wick himself too? Thanks for sharing!

If you were as confused as I was in reading the actual rule book, this video is a must watch. It will actually tell you how the system is meant to be used. I just wished they covered more on Dramatic Scenes and Risks. Overall, I give the system a 6/10. It is overly complex and at times requires too much prep to really feel like a fluid game at the table.

As much as I love John Wick and 7th sea, it felt like this was more a circus than an adventure game. The new system let you do anything but I don’t see and miss the challenge of not being able to do an action because the ND is too high. It makes it look too easy. 1h40 for 1 scène, it seems that the new system is not making action scene faster. On a positive note though, I like that everybody can choose a different approach to the scene and play it.

Great show. Weird low-quality video though. :( .

Looks okay to me. YT will sometimes drop you to lower resolution for seemingly no reason, but the 1080p option is there.

Brute Squad that got reduced still does its original Rank in wounds to 'players'??? HAHAHAHA!!! OMG! I honestly don't know what this was supposed to be but it's not a good ad for this game. My group and me have been playing 7th Sea 2nd ed. for roughly 10 months. While most of the books (that my fellow player and I kickstarted) were really a mix between a wishful thinking, some smart and original mechanics and lot of copy-pasting from the first edition without any regard about how it effects the new edition, the books mostly ended as a badly done mess. I can see the qualities in the ideas behind them. But when a guy who designed the game forgets to tell his players some core mechanics of the game, then you know somebody here doesn't care about what they're doing. I've seen some amazing campaigns from various RPG designers on YT so that probably colors my experience of this video. It feels fake. If you've picked up the 2nd ed. of the 7th Sea, you got an average game that should've been worked on more than it has been and needed a lot more of playtesting than it had. It has many GREAT ideas whose execution was very probably rushed and poorly thought through. IMO, 7th Sea needs a 3rd Edition that will go through a thorough playtest. Now, just to be clear, I think John Wick is one of the BEST game designers out there (when it comes to innovation) and to me he is an RPG giant ten times greater than Gary Gygax. I would sing praises to all of his ideas until the end of the world, but to me these books were rushed and badly done. It honestly hurts me to write this bad review of his 2nd ed. of the 7th Sea.

I dont agree, having watched couple of sessions with john as gm he changes and makes rules on the fly if they fit scene or make it more interestig/engaging. I feel that the same should overall apply to 7th sea. Rules being more like a frame than things set in stone. But thats just my thoughts.
