It's funny so many people are acting like as soon as somebody says they're married it means they're old... As long as you're 18 and above you can get married, lol. I also got married quite young to my highschool sweetheart and we're still early in our 20's and living life happily together.

my ultimate beauty tip is just...imagine you're a princess or a warrior or a mage or something. when you visualise yourself as something powerful, your posture immediately strengthens, you make better decisions too, like: would i, a warrior, keep my hair in a nest or will i, a warrior, tie it up in a huge practical, beautiful braid and get on with my day? this also helps mentally, so for example if you catch yourself being all jealous or resentful, just literally go: is the warrior in me going to take this bullshit, or is she going to be mature about this? manifestation really works wonders for me, so for anyone who vibes with aesthetics and visual processing - please do give this a try! it literally takes 2 secs after you wake up to imagine you're a dragon, do it!!!

my great - grandmother was always putting herself together till the very end. This habit spilled on over all the way to my mother who i never saw wearing sweatpants around the house. I never really "noticed" because it was so normal for me until i had my own life. I asked her why and she said it's for her own sake, her attitude and grace she regards for herself. I really liked that and i always make an effort too.

I absolutely loved how, at 13:20 , you started to talk about the damage of overdoing anything and obsessing over something can be more damaging even though the thing that you are overdoing may seem healthy. I feel like a lot of people could relate to this because there are so many individuals who set the bar high because of not only what the media shows but also society's high demands. This video was definitely beneficial, and I can't wait to see your next video!!

Absolutely agree. But on the flip side, in my region there is a culture of "beauty is vain, trying at all makes you high maintenance and means youre insecure, trying to be healthy means youre stuck up" even when what you're doing is taking a holistic, wholesome approach to bettering your life. There is always a balance! Too far in either direction is unhealthy.

You can try changing your mindset surrounding makeup. Ask yourself why do you wear it? or want to wear it? for me, it's a cute self pampering morning routine that helps me wake up, i do my skincare and makeup while drinking water/tea/coffee and listening to music. It's also a really good way to incorporate mirror work into your day. Doing your skincare routine is such an act of self love- it's physical touch, quality time, and acts of service to yourself. doing it first puts you already in a positive headspace while you do your makeup. I believe the type of makeup everyone should do is artistic and/or to accentuate your natural beauty and features. It should be fun, seeing your face as a canvas rather than a flaw. And wearing minimal makeup you wont look so different taking it off. it's important to have those off days of wearing no makeup for your skin and your mental well being, to check in with yourself and see how much of a dependancy you have on makeup to feel beautiful.

i personally find it has the opposite effect on me! i wear pretty natural makeup, just darkening my eyebrows and doing a tiny bit of eyeshadow, and i think it actually helps me appreciate my facial features and structure even after i take it off. try out some different styles, you might find one that works for you!
@minoalymeg
@minoalymeg 2 жыл бұрын
You’re not alone I also feel the same! I only wear makeup on special occasions or when I feel like it (when you want to extra pamper yourself or treat yourself). I don’t know if this will help you but privilege having a good skincare routine instead of doing makeup if you don’t want to. You’ll have a natural glow

I think staying consistent and having a standard day and night routine helped me so much! No matter how tired I am or grouchy in the morning, I stick to my routine esp skin care so I KNOW I’m taking care of myself. I also take a bath to relax at least once a week and do a face mask too c: helps me relax and get it together to conquer another day!

do be reminded though that you can dress your best while wearing simple clothes. I notice that i have a negative mood when i dress in clothes that dont look flattering on me, but when i wear flattering clothes even if its just old clothes that i use when at home to wear while going outside, im way more confident.

In terms of her first tip, i personally find it helpful to even have cute/nice "comfy clothes." I got some mic and match loungewear sets. Not clothes I'd wear to a special event, but something nice and matching that i feel comfortable and confident and put together in even on lazier days

Thank you so much! Another habit is to be forgiving to oneself when a habit doesn't work out. Don't worry, try again next time :) Because I tend to feel really stressed when things don't work out the way I would want them. Letting those things go would make me look so much better as stress makes you age faster!

Such an important point: Self-care is not selfish. Being selfish is not self-care. Vanity is not self care, or selfish. It's about falling to the deep insecurities we face when being judged by our appearance. Stay beautiful, people (including me. I'm not an expert. :) ). Our beauty is so much more than skin deep. :)

This was in the top of my recommends today and I was like, sure, whatever, it's a short video I can have on while I eat breakfast. I did not expect how gentle and healthy and self-kind it would be! I expected a pep talk on like, prioritizing time or whatever. I love the idea of getting dressed every day, maybe because I'm at the end of my winter break and I think I got dressed like, less than ten times this entire past month LOL. I also really appreciated the honest talk about eating healthily, *kindly* to your body. The idea of adding more healthy things instead of restricting """bad""" things is super nice, too.

These were really great ideas, it was so helpful to me so thank you 😊😊🙏🏻 absolutely loved the last one! It reminds me of a friend that is always angry at the world, and it’s just not necessary.. I want to be more carefree and this gives me the push I need! My tip is silly, I bring my big bassy speaker into the bathroom and turn off the lights just having one candle on, so it’s very dim and bring any nice bubbly beverage into the shower to wash off the stress of the week while dancing my cares away in my bassy bathroom while showering! It brings me to another place ❤️

About dressing up even when home, where I live there is a thing from old times that clothes that you wear outside in the city, work, school etc is more expensive, and therefore you should not wear same clothes at home as it is seen as wasteful. It's not like I judge anyone for wearing nice clothes at home but I just have this mindset engrained into my brain since I was little that I would feel weird trying to wear my nice stuff at home xD. Plus bras, hate them all.
@tripalongbrasil
@tripalongbrasil 2 жыл бұрын
I agree with u on the bra hate 😅 but as someone who's been raised to have that exact mindset of outside vs. stay-at-home clothes, I've come to realize it just makes you put too much value on the "outside clothes", even those you don't really wear... and then overuse your everyday pieces so they end up looking worn out af, making you look (and feel) messy, lazy and less confident when you're home. IMO the motivation is worth the sacrifice of using up "outside clothes" bc when I wear old tees and worn out sweatpants, I tend to sit and slouch instead of getting to work yknow 😅

for some like me who take stuff very difficult to let it go and not care. You have no idea. Some of us hide our feelings and then cry and then it takes a long time to really let it go. It's a slow process but it's very hard and mentally draining.

One thing I love to do is name 5 things I’m thankful for in the morning and meditation morning&night. Even if it’s only a 5 minute meditation, it really sets the mood for the day/night😁

Also buying pajamas that make you feel good. If you go to bed feeling pretty and good, you’ll wake up feeling that. And staying in a clean area. A messy area will fog up the mind while a clean one (I feel like) opens the mind more
