It was an amazing trip. I rushed to go through footage to get this first part out. I can’t wait to go through the rest of the footage this week. Prob be 2 more parts. A 6 day trip is no joke. Did you pack all of your water or filter it?
@HBMaverick6 жыл бұрын
We worked with an outfitter but we used our own canoe. We brought 5-gallons of water and filtered the rest. We had a cooler for the first two days and then freeze-packed food. It was an excellent trip!

Great video - looking forward to Part 2! We stayed on site #702 in 2017, so your video brought back great memories. Your drone footage and photography are awesome! I'm guessing you portaged into Black Bay and headed to #800 for your third night? Did you catch any tasty fish for eating, or all catch/release during your trip? There were lots of uncontrolled forest fires raging near the French this summer - you must have gone before they closed the park - they had to evacuate everyone from there at one point, visibility from the smoke was almost nil...
@NYZOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Colette descent thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate the compliment! Yep. The site you saw us pull up to at the end of the video was 800. We did portage to get there. We didn’t cook any fish. We released everything for this trip. The fires were insane this year. We just got back from the trip a few days ago. The burn ban was lifted the day before we got there. We were going regardless of the ban. Originally we wanted to do a loop and go by fox island but that whole section of the park burned up.... It was a close call for not being able to go here due to fire but our fall back plan was Algonquin Park. A trip was happening... hahaha just wasn’t sure where. I typically post every Sunday. Part 2 will be out next week on Sunday. It may be 3 parts. I have so much good footage!

@@NYZOutdoors as you will see in the video i was cranky after a campsite i tried and didnt like so i kinda had the what ever mindset at that point. luckily the lake had no wind so i couldnt have had a better time to cross. i am hopeful the lake is just as kind this june when i head through again! i did hear a horror story from a resort owner about 2 canoes that tried to cross. started out really calm and as they neared half way or so 30 mph winds kicked up and whipped up the lake really bad. 1 canoe capsized 4 miles from shore. luckily someone, somehow knew it happened and called ems to pick them up. both survived. but man it made me think... 4 miles from shore in waves... you couldnt even see shore from that perspective....
