8 into 1 turbo header on a street car!

One of the coolest builds we have seen this year! It was great to meet Sam and to see his beautiful camero. I am so glad to be able to share these amazing builds with everyone. Most content providers aren't trained Media specialists and therefore its 0JT for them and with nobody better to Mentor them, some of them will just produced shite the whole time there creating media. I realize that it would probably be extremely difficult but would it be possible to have an equal length 8 into 1 header. A basic 8 into 1 header is difficult and by adding equal length exhaust pipes would further increase the difficulty. Just was wondering if equal length 8 into 1 header would be worth the added difficulties? Thanks.

This car in the video dose have equal length headers. It is a pain to make but if you want that smooth sound you need them to be equal. It helps in higher rpm but you do actually loose a little bit of torque in the lower range so it all depends on what you are trying to do with your build.

Sure hope he has either an oil accumulator, insanely baffled oil pan or a dry sump system on that car. I have done a tonne of research on LS engines and have heard that they will suffer from oil starvation in autocross or drifting.

If you got it to 1500hp plus I might get interested you'd have to gut it internally to get an LS to survive the boost required to get to even here Major reengineering and better components Good engines to 500 standard That's about it reliably NA Standard valve train ain't real flash Still 450 in a well geared lightweight streetcar is manageable fun by steering well I know one fellow that keeps buying junkyard LS's whacking the roots blower on as a burn out car To say hes thrown a few rods is an understatement Those powderd rods like getting out I don't know why he bothers And doesn't build a nicer bot end with modest boost Then there's the head gasket issues Why not start with a shp or lil M Put a nice crank in there some nice rods a set of Brodix heads some forged slugs some boost and you would easily eclipse this And the small block would surpr ise even the most diehard LS fan on both it's reliability and function for an old platform
