Summary 43:42 1. Always tell the truth even if harsh and hurts their feelings. 2. Help the make responsible choices (precise wise choice) 3. Always give them positive feedback (what gives you a good experience); demonstrations of loyalty 4. Tell them you think highly of them when they do something good (positively manipulative) 5. Always help them find the best answer. Do not withhold information;your own Ti (research) to help them their Te (decision). They need all the info. 6. Always tell them what you are about to do to show you are being faithful; state your intentions (calm down Ni nemesis suspicion) They jump to conclusions if you're being secretive. They are critical of others intentions. (No I can't tell you it's a surprise) 7. Always help them remember. Tell them to take photos, take notes, set up alarm. Chronicle your relationship. 8. Do not expect them to be empathic (aware of how others feel) . They have sympathy (Fi) so tell them "how would you feel if this happened to you". Remind them not to treat others like cattle. Final super quick summary: 47:48

Just want to mention one caveat: Don't tell the truth in front of other people if it affects their competency. They might still manage to end the meeting, but will go to their Fi inferior after the meeting venting their anger.

The first rule about "Always tell the truth even if it hurts" & one rule somewhere in between "Share what you are doing. Share photos, selfies, etc - keep them updated" also applies to INTJs. Great Job, I liked the lecture.

As an ENTJ woman I 100% with him about abusive relationships. My ex was an awful person and he was extremely manipulative. He knew how to make me feel loved just enough for me to stay, but he had no respect for me. I was angry at him and myself for allowing myself to be manipulated. I started watching him closer and seeing what he was doing and saying. It's hard to leave an abusive relationship because you're made to feel like you deserve the abuse and disrespect. I realized I had to respect myself and love myself because he wasn't able to. When I finally broke up with him and made it very clear that his manipulation wasn't going to work anymore he got worse and just helped solidify my decision more. I learned a lot about myself in that relationship. I learned the kind of person I was and how I was able to hold on to my morals and virtues even though I'm sure most people wouldn't of been able to. He was a serial cheater and liar. I'm sure a lot of people would of cheated on him as a form of vengeance, but I'm proud of myself and the experience showed my true colors even to myself. Now I'm with a very loving and caring INFJ. I know we will have our struggles, but there's no yelling at each other. Its just talking about what the issue is and fixing it together. It's such a stable and loving relationship and I'm so glad I was able to leave the abusive relationship. It was hard but it would of been harder if I stayed. The amount of trauma I went through with the ex still affects me at times and I'm going to therapy for it. Thankfully my bf is very understanding and supportive. Gosh I love my man!

I know what you mean. I am an infj female and had a n*rcissistic boss that gave me a massive burnout. Eye opener to say the least. Taught me a lot; * what is toxic behaviour? I have a 0 tolerance policy for it now. No devalueing, setting you up to fail, disrespecting bounderies etc. * The weakness of the infj is that we are perfectionistic people pleasers. We are too strict on ourselves....which a narc exploits. I don't tolerate a external narc anymore...why tolerate an internal narc? Why be so strict on yourself. Perfection is an illusion. Knowing/acknowledging your weaknesses and asking for help when needed...THATS strenght. And the infj is so focussed on helping/pleasing others...we don't help/please ourselves. I didn't even know myself. Selfcare, bounderies and going after what you want is so very important. I get hit on by ent*'s a lot. Normally I wouldn't go for it cause they accidentally trip my narc radar. That was before I had a bit more handson experience with narcs. Its just that I can see past masks, but its not as cut and dry as you might think. With a narc I can see the coldness and the empathy (they fake)...it gives me an "2+2=18...somethings not adding up....what is he hiding?" feeling. But the ent* gives me the same feeling. But I think its inverted with them...its all about intend. The perfect strict mask protects the feelings and the need for control is to help others. The narc fakes the feelings mask but wants control and hides a m*nster underneath. Control for personal gain. They "look" simular to an infj but they aren't. But it triggers my narc radar and I tend to do a runner when that happens. But the ent* is bluntly honest without the intend to hurt your feelings. The narc devalues. It looks simular but it isn't. But I recently saw some nice examples of ent*/infj relationships and they seem to work....if you can keep it in balance. Even the push and pull of the flirting thing they do...its more than just them being playful...its kinda a determination what kind of person this is...will they be dominated or push back? If you push back or tell them no...a narc won't like that....an ent* gets turned on by that. I think both ent*/infj are more into show than tell...words are cheap and people lie...show me what ya got....proof it.

Glad you were able to nail down your cognitive type ! XNFPs are self-preservationists of a special kind because of their Fi. If they feel like they’re a good person, even if it’s not accurate or based in reality, they probably won’t change. But thanks to your content like this I am able to understand how I can be my natural self in a relationship and simultaneously be a beneficial partner to another human being. I was always honest with the people I slept with so nothing was a surprise. I've always been upfront and honest. I don't agree with the jumping to conclusions. The advice to make ENTJs imagine how they would feel if they were in your shoes is so on point, especially valuable for their pedagogue, and looking at the comment section it's not so rare that these two get together. I have this kind of relationship with my ENTJ boyfriend and I've come to the same conclusion but after erring quite a lot when trying to make him understand what I was going through on different occasions. Also, I would add here that if you're their partner, don't hesitate to ask them how they feel on regular basis, they like opening up and will surprise you with how much in tune with their feelings they can be. It's also quite rewarding when you manage to soften up an ENTJ :), a very precious experience, probably only reserved for those most trusted.

I wouldn't say he needed to chase me though. That's because I liked him and he was very clear about his intentions soon on, so we got into a relationship relatively quickly.

Hi, an INTP I am here, and this seems to be a great video. Where to start where to start, I had so many thoughts while watching this video, it's now become tough on how to start typing the college level essay I thought up of in my head while C.S. Joseph was talking. Great job keeping your videos logically consistent among themselves, you can almost always prove the points you make by reaching back to a previous video and its clear that you do this from memory, not from script. That being said, I would enjoy some more of the lecture-style white board and marker videos again. INTPs are terrifyingly good at setting our "quirky" baselines for our moods, being masters of consistency while single, and then throwing EVERYTHING away for the sake of societal expectations once in a relationship. I believe this happens from lack of experience taking part in romantic relationships(our Si child only lets be good at ANYTHING with proper time to practice) and we try to hurry our maturity along in using our ESFJ subconscious. Please don't dismiss this aspect of Si child, it is the source of our ego and we know we're competent especially when we're achieving in some competition. Now to the ENTJs, for rule 3, if you want quick, positive, physical reactions when being touched, INTPs are not truly capable. We always give ourselves a time threshold for info processing and would probably react or reciprocate with explorative touches of our own, starting slowly and uncertain, another INTP in the comments says otherwise, so I'm a little shaky on that point. More on the rules; rule 3, giving positive feedback, these are value judgements that INTPs in baseline "observer mode" are not want to make. Incedentally, this is what our ESFJ modes help us do, even though we do it wrong. I believe that XNTJs want a partner who is simultaneously their mentor/teacher or is fulfilling aspects of those roles, roles that XNTPs are made for. Please don't laugh when the roleplaying in the bedroom is a student/teacher affair, and you are literally critiquing the performance. I've used my "trainer" mode in work to catch the new people up and when I'm doing well at training I'm told I'm excellent at it. Rules 1 and 3 demostrate how INTPs are so appealing when they can actually balance being authentic(rule 1) and being mature in the right way(rule 3), so please don't recomend that ENTJs leave INTPs when the INTPs fail at this balance, because we get the LEAST experience in these areas of life, but we need it the most, in order to remember it, process it, and practice it. Achieving this balance with the APPROPRIATE use of the mentor mindset satisfies rule 4 perfectly. Rules 7 and 8 may seem the hardest for INTPs to handle, but 7 can mean to us "they never let us become complacent, lets show them what it really means to us to be on top of responsibilities". Life will be difficult for those taking the pathway of maturity and rule 8 will become relevant when we are least in the mood to deal with others. If we can somehow direct our energies to just the one ENTJ while satisfying the emotional needs of others, it will make us more comfortable, but it may backfire on us if the ENTJ percieves this as "just another person trying to make me more emPATHETIC". Thank you so much for your vids and sorry for the lengthy feedback. I may actually return to this video just to look at this comment(I'll make myself feel guilty and therefore obligated). I really alomst recall how our vice of apathy screws us over in relation to this video, so I may make a (smaller) comment detailng how it does so.

As an ENTJ, I agree ! I just have one correction, based on my personal opinion. In regards to ENTJ's expecting others should take care of themself because noone else took care of them so why should they look after others....I dont beleive that is the mindset. It's not based on vendictivness, it's based on values and personal philosophy. We are hard working, self driven, organized individuals. We value responsability...its not that "well others dont look after me so why should I look after them". It's more like " everyone is responsible for ourself. I cannot make someone do say or feel something, that is a job for themself. I do not controle others emotions or thoughts, therefor I am not responsible " I definitely agree that the full truth, no matter how painful, needs to be shared. As well as that we desire and thrive on all relevant information and veiw everything as numbers / statistics /more information...even living being, including other humans. Thank you for sharing !

i would also point out that actually they care about other people feelings (few ones, even tho technically is better to say they care about "how you are doing into your life", which is more SE child but ok) but they do not take them into consideration, example : you are an infp (me) go to them and say hey i got x problem; they will tell you what to do to fix your shit so maybe in the end you feel better. This sometimes happens to the point of ordering people what to do not caring about they feel cuz they know that if you listen to them you are gonna say thank you in the end. So they show love by "Thinking about you" that's litterally TE+SE.

I like your differentiation between "generosity" vs "charity". ENFPs are generally much more social creatures who want to be noticed for some kind of mission (ranging from moral causes to pure histrionic posturing). Underneath the authoritative exterior, ENTJs are fairly private creatures, and would rather give to a select few people. Also....you caught me. I only give a shit about how others feel insofar that I can ask "how would that make ME feel in that situation?". I'm generally quite good at understanding why people feel a certain way, but often I decide "I would have responded like X, so they're a pussy and idgaf". 😂

His Se was butthurt so much and his Fi starts acting so weird idk how to describe he becomes so weirdly emotional and attached to his idea. After that, he never asked me about something or if he was I just ignored him and answered simply yes that good idea. I am an ENTJ; without specific context, it's difficult. If I were in her position, I would understand, verbally say love, and thank you for your desire to improve (assuming she was ordering you for something to be better). What kind of past she can't accept? Just play assumption here, you stick to bad influence and can't move on? Was that the past you're talking about? if yes, the solution is easy. Don't mention, do, and reference about that anymore. Yes, it can be difficult for Si child nostalgic, I understand that. That was the meaning of "no past" from her POV. Don't let the past still influence you!!!

Thanks Chase! I have some questions about questions 6 and 8. -6 If the entj in a relationship is a woman, is having to tell them everything as a man not going against holding a masculine frame as in kind of being submissive? -8 The sentence you said was spot on to what I have heard before, almost word for word. But you said they have had to care for themselves all their lives...didn't they choose that like? In wanting to be independent and not need anyone? It's not like people haven't offered or wanted to help them, plus they forget all the times people have.

Since entjs are inherently a masculine type( one of the most masculine), I think some behaviors will naturally have to be feminine/not masculine (intps being the golden pair is probably somewhat related to them being one of the most feminine types)

For the question 8: chances are most ENTJs can't depend on others because they have been shown they are irresponsible. I'm an ENTJ and I like being independent, but I don't want to have complete control in my relationships. I want others to be responsible and take care of things for me. I remember when people do good by me, but generally the good they do isn't on par with the bad.

Damn this is helpful. Infj with ENTJ. The fe parent with fi inferior is rough af sometimes. Turn feelings off blast with Ti. 😆 both have issues with needing to know what the other is doing before doing it. The freedom but not trusting others is interesting af and hilarious at the same time. Def need loyalty!! I mix this with astrology. I have a intj slant and he has a enfj slant aka mercury placement which we play heavily on after 30. In our conscious awareness as a tool to the ego. Anyways thanks endlessly!

If you are looking for someone that will have you walking on eggshells, that will punish you for things you have done or not as long as they believe it. Talk about a oneway relationship, with someone that doesn’t think they do anything wrong or justify the wrong they are doing. They suck unless you want someone that will try to buy your love and punish you for you being with them. The most selfish people ever and understand that you will always have to work for their love. It is all about them and one of the biggest complainers. So if you want a relationship where you don’t matter and don’t mind hearing someone constantly complain. Do not expect them to give a sh*t about you they are perfect for you.

Maybe you attract Narcissists? Maybe find out what the red flags that you're attracted to are. There are good ENTJs out there, but you got to make sure that you're not attracted to those with a personality disorder. I'd suggest looking up videos on psychology and studying on personality disorders. A good youtube channel for this is Dr. Ross Rosenburg. Best of luck to you!

Hi, Chase. I was wondering if you could maybe do a specific video on how to succeed as a couple consisting of an ENTJ woman and an INFJ man. I would appreciate it, because I get along with him very well, but we aren't the most compatible as far as I understand from watching your videos. Can we actually become something? Also in bed, is it that bad that we both have Se? I mean, his is inferior so it doesn't really come out that much. Thanks
@gigglesmcdounut723
@gigglesmcdounut723 2 жыл бұрын
I'm the same way. I was wondering the same thing. Since both are so rare it's hard to find someone to explain the challenges. I'm an ENTJ lady and I like to give my INFJ bf control and be masculine. I enjoy being feminine,but I can be aggressive with what I want. He love it though lol! He loves that he doesn't have to guess with me and that I will tell him what I think and want. The hard part is getting him to open up since INFJs are so use to people not asking about them. I know it cause some stress but I think it helps him realize that I want his input and I value his decisions.

@gigglesmcdounut723 My work in progress thought (as an INFJ) is two fold. Like you already talked about Se is a bit stressful for us. Imagine performing in front of a large crowd if you have performance anxiety. But it's important enough for you that you do it anyway with the best positive attitude you can muster. Accessing Se like that! An idea I've had is encouraging your INFJ in verbal role play. Ne imagination can be quite fun for us (playful). If he sees you enjoying a setup/story he can start to feel how a more dominant role can be both safe and responsible in this context (getting Fe to chill out!). Acting out in an imaginative (but safe) way can give the freedom he needs to express his desires in a more direct fashion. He needs less proof you feel good/safe in imaginative play. Therefore it's easier to explore further without worrying that you will enjoy the experience. If he is encouraged to come up a scenario that turns you both on, and he is indirectly leading (by playing within a role) ... well, you might get him to really express himself!!! I know your post was over a year old. But hope this helps!!!

Thank you for your insights on ENTJ. I appreciate your videos. Please I’d like to seek your opinions. Me and a male ENtJ male friend. We’ve known each other from church for 5 years. We both love activities and each organizes activities and joins each other’s activities. I had been seeing him as a fun guy to hangout with. Until last Christmas and new year day, he suddenly asked me out couple times with two mutual church friends for museums and movies…. Ever since we started texting each other a loooot more than before…from an hour up to three hours…. And he kinda “report” to me what he did… on weekend with family…. It’s only been a month and half…. I can’t wrap my head around it… please I need your help! Thanks a lot!
