In regards to Luigi's Mansion, the Duck Tales game for NES also had a "bad" ending that required you to finish the game with $0 and is pretty much impossible to get without having the exact amount of money during the final boss and knowing that you can spend said money to refill your life meter.

First I'd like to say, we'll miss you James and thanks for all the great video edits! The game that wasted my time as a kid was Legacy of Goku 2 specifically the Hercule ending. I remember having to grind countless hours as him fighting crocodiles next to Master Roshi's island for weeks and when I finally got him to level 50 I was so excited. I went through the door of the ZZTV building and it was just him taking credit for beating cell on a talk show. It felt like the game spat in my face LOL. You don't know how mad I was about all the time I wasted haha

I never finished Sekiro because I wanted to do the secret ending and just hit a wall with the optional Owl bossfight, right before the final boss. One of the very few times in FromSoft games I gave up (the others were the blizzard area in DS2, Orphan of Kos and a cursed Chalice dungeon).
