The fact that we hate small talks is so truthful. Like, if we don’t have any desire or reasons to talk, then why would we? These conversations would not have any sense so let’s just enjoy the silence.

I’ve always hated small talk. I feel awkward when someone wants to talk, but they obviously have nothing to talk about and I don’t feel like talking. So, they ask a repeated question and I feel like I have to give them the same answer every time. Like if they ask, how was your day? I’m most likely to say good or okay because if I say “bad” their reaction is like “wtf I didn’t expect that”

When you’re a deep thinker... 1) you’re most likely an introvert - value solitude and recharged through alone time 2) you love deep talks - only talk when there’s something important to add otherwise you would just listen and observe 3)you’re introspective - reflect on emotions and experiences, deep in thoughts 4) you have a vast and vivid imagination - imaging what their life would be like in an alternative 5) you MUST PLAN - split goals into smaller steps by planning out and thinking of the long term 6) you are a master strategist and planner - looking at all perspectives and weighting the pros and cons 7) you’re a good problem solver - tactical+strategic+creative=see patterns and upcoming problems 8) you live to learn - yearn for a deep understanding of themselves and the world around them so they can connect the dots

@@colorchangingsoup well if you think about it life is meaningless and there is no point in living. As living only brings sadness and pain to not only you but to many onthers down the line. And if you say life is worth living because there are things you care about. That is selfish. If god was real and you really went to heaven why make us in the first place. Why cause all this pain. If you are omnipotent and all knowing then why do something so foolish. Unless he realizes his mistake and kills himself. Which would be the only logical way. Life is truly meaningless only nothingness is pure joy. Thus world is greedy and ran off of greed an selfishness alone. Evrything you do in your day to day life is selfish and harming not only others but future generations and other species. Humans are pathetic beings bound and chained to the ankles by our useless will to live unable to truly see what matters.

deep thinkers take on a different aspect of life, a perspective that nobody would understand. they tend to be interested in things most others aren’t. they know when to act a specific way, and predict situations maturely on the inside. it is known to be harder to find deep thinkers when you just look on the outside.

I have friends that only talk about small things, they don't talk about the things I talk about, like the future of humanity, space, love, emotions, yourself. I even talk about every little detail there is in every talk I have with people. The truth is, a lot of people are not like this anymore, in the country I am at least. When people see me, they tell me that I am different from the rest they have met, but then they leave, because I'm too different from them. But I have been like this for my whole life, and I started realizing this not too long ago. I am happy with who I am, no matter how different I am to the rest.

Apart from being introverted and having plans for everything, everything else is true. Also, it isn't obvious to me that schedule type planning, unlike strategic planning which is more of a skill than a habit or behavior, is necessarily something true of deep thinkers, I know that I really just think through things for the sake of clarity and a sort of freedom from contradiction, not necessarily for the goal of implementation. That might be so because I prefer to keep my options open, because new information might change my mind, and committing to something before I have the chance to come to a better conclusion is the wrong thing to do, whether implementation is a goal or not.

Here’s the thing. I love talking and analyzing everything. I crave deep conversations and seek them out. People have a tendency to open up around me and I love to hear new ideas to grow the ideas I already have. However I am an extrovert with a love of going out. I think these things coexist.

Wow. I don't think I am a deep thinker but all the 8 points describe me. Yes, I have always been "slow" to respond. Not good in arguing because the answers come later (lots of answers). Also I like to plan ahead. Sometimes I planned too much which results in inaction. Sleep prevails. Yes I love to learn. Once gathered my data, I shut off everything trying to apply the knowledge. Thank you for this video.

I relate to this A LOT! I'm definitely an introvert who gets praised for great imagination in the stories I write and I hate school work that I couldn't find the purpose in. I'm known as a great leader and I hate when plans change quickly and drastically. I also make many game theories and know the history of Nintendo and game freak, and I have a good grade in science and English. I'm not trying to brag or anything, I just want to show how I relate!

@@Psych2go Well... My country has been lockdown by the world because many people still breaking the rules of social distancing. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Me and my family was not like that, though. @@samuelconsuegra1206 Yup. The people in my country was so stubborn. Mostly they are daily workers, and if they're not doing their job...their not going to have some money for their families. Also, they said 'No hang out, no life' and 'We don't trust the e-commerce, because we've been cheated by them'. So...yeah. Also, they use religion just trying to get out of the house because they don't believe in Coronavirus. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ By the way, if you wanna know where I am...I'm Indonesian. About number 4, let me just give a little bit of a thing I do. Whenever I feel overtly stressed out or find myself thinking too much about my current problems, I take a moment to stop and put my music on. Not any music, but one in particular. I put on Sigur Ros' Festival. I play the song and I imagine. As the beat goes on, I imagine what I want to achieve during the day, on the next day, how the week will go, about classes, friends, relationships, work, and continue going further, jumping through time faster and faster. The goals in your life, put them in. Like how to ask her our. What your first date would look like. Your anniversary. Getting a job. Getting an apartment. Having that promotion. On and on and do it faster and do it grander. And as the bass drops near the end of the song, at its fastest peak, buzz through your whole life. Imagine them as pictures or snippets. And when it ends, I take a deep breath, and think to myself, whatever problems I have now, are what's going to help me succeed in that future I want. I hope you do too. Alternatively, you can do it with M83's Outro. Depends on what pace you'd rather work with.
